  1. I'm sure you didn't lose any weight cause you probably had IV Fluids while in the Hosp. That will put the weight on you. Are you the lady that had the blisters and skin discoloration on your tummy a few days after Surgery? I know you are glad to be home. Just keep on keeping on.
  2. I found this Site today and copied a lot of recipes that I can't wait to try. Thought I would share. http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com
  3. You're right, pinkbunies. That's just about how long it took me to get over it. My first experience, but I am sure it won't be my last!
  4. That is interesting that you have a drain, and that after a week you still have it in. When are they going to remove it? My Dr. doesn't put in drains.
  5. On my Full liquid Diet I am allowed Grits, Cream of Wheat, Rice, and Fara. But don't think I will have them again for a while. I think I was doind mind-less eating with too many distractions interrupting my Breakfast. Probably was not eating slow enough or listening to my Stomach. Lesson learned.
  6. The Premium Protein Shakes have 30 grams of Protein, 1 Gram of Sugar, but do have 160 Calories.
  7. Mamy, I'm drinking the Premium Protein Shakes, and I now add a little Skim Milk to dilute them. I can get them at Sam's or Walmart. They come in Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry, and are quite tasty.
  8. Cutee, I was drinking the Ready-Made Protein Shakes before Surgery and they went down fine. Now they are too thick, so I add a little Fat-Free Milk and it makes them better.
  9. Hi Everyone, I am Day 6 Post-Op and have been doing great. I had a small bowl of Grits for Breakfast and must have had one too many bites. My stomach is hurting and I feel like I am going to throw up. Tried walking and that doesn't help. Can't lay down, it makes it worse. So what is a person to do? Just wait it out? Should I try to drink some Water? Sherry
  10. Your incisions are healing nicely. I have 5 incisions; 4 tiny ones and one that is about an inch long. The larger one is the one everyone is talking about. By looking at yours, it might be the one at your belly button?
  11. I am finding that the Ready-Made Protein Shakes that I was drinking Pre-Surgery are now too thick and sweet for me. So I have been adding a little Skim Milk to them, and they are easier now to get down.
  12. Has anyone found anything to put their ground-up pills in to get them down? I've tried Applesauce, and also Cream of Wheat. The pills taste awful!
  13. Had Surgery at Memorial Hermann South East in Houston, Tx. Did anyone else get the fashionable Wrap-Around Girdle to wear during the day? It seems to hold everything in place.
  14. I was surprised but I did not have a drain tube. I went home yesterday afternoon, the 31st. Feeling really weak, tired, and sore all over. Wondering what I've done.
  15. My Surgery was the 30th, and I came home yesterday. I also have a caved-in spot where my Stomach came out. Looks weird. I'm still not feeling very good. Feel tired and sleepy.
  16. Thanks for all the words of encouragement, and good luck to all of you 29th Sleeve Surgeries today. This is my last day of eating torture, and then I will be up bright and early on the 30th for my Adventure. It can't come soon enough!

  18. Add me to the List of the 30th Sleevers. Thank goodness I only have 5 days of Pre-Op Liquids, and am working on Day 4. Shakes, Broth, Jello and Water; I am sick of them all. I feel weak, tired, and on a short fuse.
  19. I am new to the Group, and have my Surgery on the 30th too! On 5 days of Liquid Pre-Op. Tonight is the end of Day 3. Can't wait till this is over with. I'm hungry and cranky. I need some positive energy right about now.
