  1. Someone gave me this recipe, but they forgot to tell me about the baking soda! I wonder if this is why they were so chalky and I just threw them all out... hmm..
  2. This sounds good... but I can't see the pyramid. The link isn't working for me...
  3. My family always has so many pies and cakes at Christmas, which I obviously can't eat. I made a pumpkin cheesecake (from this site) for Thanksgiving- it was all low fat and made with splenda products... Does anyone have good cake/pie recipes that we (lapband lovelies) can have? I would love a cheesecake one, and I could probably just adjust the pumpkin one, but I can't figure out how to do that... Thanks in advance!
  4. I am 26 years old (female) and I was recently banded (Oct. 22, 2007) and this is the hardest thing I've ever done. I knew it was going to be difficult, and that it's a tool therefore I'd have to really work at it, but I didn't expect it to be so emotionally hard. Telling the difference between real hunger and head hunger is so hard for me. I have a history of anxiety and depression and my meds (Lexapro being one of them) are getting all sorted out so I'm a bit off, which isn't helping. I had the worst 10 days after surgery and instantly regretted the decision I made. Now, I don't regret it, but I wish I new more about what to do to help me lose the weight faster, but stay healthy. I'm keeping an online journal on Livejournal about everything that's going on, and posting pictures. If you'd like to read it, I'd love new friends! mynewlife_22 - Profile (just click on mynewlife_22 -next to where it says user.)
  5. I was just recently banded (Oct. 22nd 2007.) I have always been single. I have had a lot of issues of self image (as I'm assuming many many people have) and have never let myself believe I was worth anything to have a boyfriend. I've always been the "friend." I'm used to being looked at as the "fat friend" in the group (guys look past you at bars and talk to only your girlfriends who you are standing with.) My brother recently commented to me that I'll have to be careful when I go out (after I've lost a significant amount of weight) because guys will be wanting to buy me drinks...etc. That is something I can't imagine. I have noticed my self confidence has risen even just now only losing a little bit, which is good, but I still can't see that happening. I think to myself- am I going to like the attention? Or am I going to think to myself, "Well, you wouldn't talk to me if I was still bigger!" You know... I guess we shall see.
