  1. Toronto western bariatric team in my opinion is amazing! Usually 6 months from orientation to surgery granted if you don't have major issues that need to be addressed prior to surgery. When doing testing that need to be sent into the team i suggest you stay on top of it and if you can get copies and fax them in yourself. I had a doctor not send in information because it didn't have the name a a specific doctor to send into and their office policy is that they don't release patient info unless it's to a specific doctor. So i got my files and sent them in myself. But ya best team I've ever delt with! Very supportive and caring
  2. @@Bandre glad to hear it!!
  3. I'm ok with going to yorkdale or dufferin ans steels again as i don't drive or somewhere around weston rd and highway 7 younge and bathurst are a bit far for me
  4. I cant think of any place at duff and steeles but the montanas and east side mario. And tge sushi place. Is there a coffe shop we can convine in?
  5. Im ok with that i would say more of a second cup or timmies
  6. And to answer your question try the tuna and crackers indivual packs or the proteinis snack packs
  7. I feel your pain girlfriend i too am 2 months out and have only lost 6lbs in the last month compared to 40 in the first month. I'm trying to hit my protein on most days but i was worried because my calories are close to 700 when i do. I thought that my calories might be what has stalled my weight loss
  8. Well @missmeg this is kinda what i mean by the false advertising because this is how slim band advertises the band. Eat all the food you love and lose weight. Well no not really. Because in order for the band to work you need to maintain a balanced food lifestyle. Im sure you just can't eat fried chicken and Macdonalds in smaller portions and lose the weight
  9. Ahh y soi dominicana asi q arriba el caribe jijijiji
  10. Karla te ves fenomenal! Solo llevo dos meses q me opere del gastric bypass pero hasta ahora todo va muy bien! Sigamos la conversacion!
  11. But I'm really ok with any other location i can commute to by transit
  12. Im good with a Woodbridge location example weston rd high way 7 area that would be meeting half way i think
  13. I glad you found a team that was up front and supportive. So i guess you too found slim band commercial and again i feel like they are more interested in your money than your real outcome.
  14. That's amazing that you been able to lose all that weight i just made the comment because I've so many people on here having issues with the band and thier food guidelines are very similar to those of my surgery so i felt the commercials were a bit misleading
  15. Hey all banders as I'm not a a fellow bander i just wanted to share/ask you guys something. Wgen i started to look into WLS i really wanted to get a lap band but I'm in canada and we only get the bypass or sleeve covered. If we want the band we need to pay out of pocket. But after doing some research i realized that slim band was false advertising anyways because they advertise get the band eat whatever you want in smaller portions and lose weight! Now that I've read some of your stories this advertising is sooo not true. My question is how does that make you guys feel?
  16. @@melhach when you have that pouch and lose weight rapidly there's no crunches that can do anything for you. The elasticity in our skin just doesn't bounce back as fast as we're losing. Just like those of us with bat wings doesn't matter how much weights we do they are still there
  17. I'm so down! Let's start planning
