  1. My surgery is on the 15th, I need a buddie also!
  2. I'm on day four of my pre-op diet and I have so many questions. My first one is do I need to purchase chewable vitamins? Next, should I go out and stock up on popsicles, jello, and shakes? Then finally, while being on the diet has anyone had to deal with bad stomach cramps? I need all the help I can get!
  3. Just take it one day at a time! I'm on day four and its becoming a little easier, and if I was you I would clean out your kitchen of any foods that will tempt you to cheat. I already had my temptation and ended up eating a few chips so save yourself the trouble.
  4. Sorry to hear about your break up, and I understand about slipping up. I'm on day four of my diet and since I do all the cooking for my family, its hard to resist temptation! Yesterday I slipped and ate a few chips then today my family had pizza and I had a small bite of it. The thing of it is to not give up, and just like you I have been on this road for over three years.
  5. I know the feeling because I had a few chips yesterday and really felt guilty! My program coordinator said to not give up just because I had a lapse, the doctor wants us to lose weight before the surgery and she understood how hard it is to give up food cold Turkey. So we all have had those moments and the key is to get back on track.
  6. Its your body's fighting against starving so its holding onto the fat! As your body adjust to your new diet the weight will start coming off again.
  7. I wish you luck with finding a new clinic and try to stay positive!
  8. I'm on day 3 also and I am having a hard time fighting the food temptations around me! I will admit I cheated yesterday by having a few chips that where calling my name, and I logged them in my food journal so I can hold myself accountable, but now I have removed all the bad foods away from me so I'm not tempted and can get back on track. I'm continuing to exercises six days a week and push myself to the finish line.
  9. I have to agree with everyone else, get a second opinion because if you have your other doctors backing the decision for wls then that should help your case. I know how it feels to be over 400lbs pounds and I'm dealing with lupus and chromic asthma too. If push come to shove have your doctors fax your new clinic a referral letter explaining why they agree with you having surgery. I had to do that too!
  10. I just started my diet today and I'm on 3-4 protein shakes a day and two snacks such as sugar free jello or sugar free popsicles! I hope this helps you!
  11. You are ahead of me in the game, because I'm on day one of my diet and I'm trying to keep myself busy by reading or sometime to occupy my mind so its not on food! I agree about the shakes, they are nasty but they do help curve the hunger. I wish you much success and keep pushing forward!
  12. I'm getting mine done on the 15th, and my Weightloss has stopped! I was worried about the same thing and my doctor told me that leading up to the surgery my body is dealing with alot of emotions and adjusting to the liquid diet so I shouldn't worry!
  13. Congrats on your surgeries! Mine is on December 15, and I'm more excited than nervous, because I've been trying to get my surgery approved for 3 years. Just enjoy this experience to the fullest!
  14. I wish you the best of luck, and please keep us posted on you progress!
  15. My surgery day is on the 15th I'm glad you asked this question because I didn't know what to pack either! Thank you for all your suggestions!
  16. Thank you Just*mee! http://www.bariatricpal.com/tickers/-leanora27801/
  17. Hi everyone, I'm in the December club too, I'm having mine on December 15th! Congrats to all of you for getting your surgery dates!
  18. I know about the waiting game too! I have been trying to get this surgery for three years and after changing insurance companies, I have finally been approved to have my surgery on December 15! Now looking back, its a good thing I had to wait because now I know what I am signing up for and I'm so excited! I can't wait for the shopping trips too and my husband has already started to save for that day as we speak!
