  1. Are you able to eat watermelon? I am in my soft food and I can have it. While I was in the hospital this week I had it every meal.
  2. Glad you are getting fluids and able to keep things down. I hope this is your road to recovery!
  3. Oh wow! That is crazy! I guess since mine were already in my lungs they weren't worried about them moving. I felt bad but not too bad. They put me on Elequis so I wouldn't have to have so much monitoring with blood work. I don't know if the sleeve caused this or if I have underlying issues. I have to see a hemotologist for future testing.
  4. Will you have blood thinners after surgery? I only had them during my hospital stay. If you have them longer you should be okay.
  5. I was two weeks post sleeve surgery on Tuesday. I woke up in excruciating pain in my abdomen...I was terrified it was a leak. I ended up in the ER. I also had a hiatal hernia repair as well. They thought it was pain from that healing. After a ultrasound of my abdomen they found I had a portal vein clot. They game me a CT scan and found a clot in my intestine and two in my lungs. I was admitted to the hospital and put on blood thinners. They checked my legs for clots but I had none. I feel better now and am home. Why did you have surgery? Surgery was never brought up for me?
  6. I surprisingly don't mind people eating good food in front of me. I love the smells but don't care to eat it. It's really weird. Since being in the hospital I started eating soft foods. I had retried beans with cream cheese mixed with taco seasoning and cheese on top! Nothing ever tasted better!
  7. I am home! Doing much better and the pain has subsided. Hopefully I will not have any more issues. On the bright side I weighed myself when I got home and I am down 23lbs!
  8. I had sharp pains in my right side. I have 4 blood clots[emoji53] if your not on a blood thinner you might want to check it out
  9. @@yescres07 I am happy you are home! I to have to see a hemotologist to see if there is a under lying cause of my clots.
  10. I surprisingly didn't fear clots! I guess I should have. I have 4 clots two in my lungs, on in my intestine and one in going from my liver to my intestine. The are putting me on Elequis and as long as I am doing well I can go home tomorrow. The pain has ended so that is really good. I finally threw up from the meds yesterday and it was scary but not as bad as I had thought. This has definitely been the scariest thing I have ever gone through. My mom is actually flying in today because I was such a wreck yesterday crying and thinking I was dying.
  11. I feel terrible! I am trying to drink at least. The pain is getting better. The have me on a form of heparin.
  12. I didn't have sharp pain but a dull ach in my abdomen. If the sharp pain comes when breathing I would have it checked.
  13. How long did it take your abdominal pain to fade? It totally sucks! I am on moraphine and it still aches!
  14. No the only gave them to me during my hospital stay. Did you give them to yourself in the stomach?
  15. @yescres07...I have two blood clots possibly a third in my lungs???? I am being admitted now. I am sad but thankfully I came into the hospital instead of waiting to long. This sucks but at least it is not a leak.
  16. My pain is just in my abdomen. I couldn't sleep last night because the pain kept me awake! How long do you have to be in the hospital?
  17. Waiting for more tests. I have a possible blood clot. Waiting to do a CT test to confirm. @@yescres07 did you have a fever?
  18. I am heading to the ER. The pain is just to much and I didn't sleep at all. It feels like my gallbladder....at least that is what I am hoping and no other major issues
  19. My surgeon checked for leaked during surgery. I couldn't drink anything until the next day. I have felt fine since surgery so I have been doing yard work and normal house things. Maybe I pushed it too hard? I am resting today and reminding myself that I just had major surgery.
  20. I will be 2 weeks post op tomorrow and I have been having dull pain under my rib cage like in the gallbladder area. I am still able to drink and have no nausea but the pain is annoying and has been here all day. I called the surgeons office and they said it could be healing...I did have a hernia repair? Did anyone else have this issue? I am freaking out that it is a leak!
  21. Does anyone have a achy feeling inside their stomach?
  22. I am so tired of protein drinks! I am ready to eat eggs and beans! Lord help me through the next week so I don't go crazy!
  23. Oh no! @@yescres07 that is so scary! I am glad you were persistent with the doc. Keep us updated on how you are doing.
  24. Oh wow! That is a lot! I am still on a liquid diet. I am at Panera Bread...I am eating soup. I want to eat everything!
