My patient advocate has all of my preop classes, psych, nut, and testing results together. She had the Dr sign off on my chart today and it will be submitted to insurance for approval or denial tomorrow. I'm so nervous. The what ifs are plaguing my mind. I am 37 yrs.
5'4" 265 DMll, high BP, high cholesterol, Neuropathy, arthritis.
I hope I get approved.
I was raped at 13. I have Rape Trauma PTSD. I medicated feelings of worthlessness and dirtiness by binging on soda and carbs. I underwent Intensive Outpatient Therapy in 2009 after seeing my rapist at a local supermarket. When he recognized me, he laughed. I waited for him to come out of the store and was going to run him over with my car. My baby boy saved his life by calling my cell phone.
Has anyone else heard of this? I also have crohn's disease disease. When crohns is in remission I have terrible debilitating gastroparesis. I'd do anything for relief at this point.
Probably because a healthier clientele would take money out of his pocket because his services wouldn't be quite so necessary. People that are helthier and feel good wouldn't need pain clinics to survive. That would be a huge loss for his practice.
I would at least attend a seminar before I ruled RNY out.
I have BlueCrossBlueShield Ruby Medicare replacement. I am just wondering what to expect with them. I went to the seminar. I had an appt with the surgeon whom I really like. I have the psyc eval on 12/4. My plan covers bariatric surgery 100% the surgeons office said. My pcp is on board and is very supportive.
Just wondering what I am up against.
