Sick...sick...sick
I am on my fourth day of bad nausea that comes and goes. I have gone to the bathroom numerous times to gag, wretch, but nothing comes. I have gas and mild feelings of diarrhea. A persistent pain in my back on the left side. Now, the strange part is that when I lay down the nausea goes away. I go my regular doctor and she is out for the day so I see her partner. I tell his nurse all of the above. He comes in and says rather snotty you were just here Friday. I wish I would of said, yeah and your point is. But instead I said yes for a regular routine checkup. He then says well how long have you had these symtoms, 2-3 days? I said 4. He says well I can't diagnose you on just 4 days of these symtoms. And I can't explain why it goes away when you lay down. I am not going to run any tests or scans because you have felt nausea for 4 days. So he sent me home with Nexium. I think what bothers me the most about all this is how he made me feel. I did not want to go to the doctor but have hated missing work and felt I needed to do something to find out what it was. I do not go to the doctor often at all. I have taken off work 2 full day and two days early. I cannot continue to do that. Have any of you ever had some of these symtoms?

2 Mailboxes in 2Snows 2 Hit & Runs
Our neighborhood has to have brick houses for the mailbox. We share the tall brick house with our neighbor. Ours got knocked down twice so the third time we both rebuilt the tall brick part for the mailboxes and put a brick flower bed on both sides. For some reason that stopped it. Ours may have been teenagers tipping them over. It was also expensive to replace.

Any Handbag Lovers out there?!?!
Okay, I am trying girls. I know I am missing out on something here so I am trying to develop a love for handbags. I got a Brahmin for Christmas. Why have I not heard of them? I have heard of Dooney, Coach, and Louis. But not Brahmin, burberry and some others you have mentioned. I just gave my sister my coach to carry. She was excited. As she and her daughter made over it, I thought what am I not getting here. I mean I liked it but it did not bother me if I never saw it again either. It had no compartments. It was tall, tan material, dark brown c's, white leather top about 2 inches tall around the top of the purse. The whole purse was shaped like a tall rectangle and if it was empty it would lay flat. Why did they like it? I also cannot pick out good purses. The other coach I had was a short rectangel, had compartments, black with black c's and they did not make over it. I bought both of them at the outlet store in Branson, Missouri. I hate to pay full price for anything. I guess I want to like purses. I have to carry them. I guess I feel like I am missing out on a lot of fun!

An observation and a question.
My doctor told everyone at the seminar that once the band is put on it tends to diminish your appetite. I did not believe him but he must of been right because something has changed and I still do not have real restriction yet after 3 fills. I have lost 29 lbs. in 3 monts. I eat half of what I ate. I do not understand myself what happens but half way through a meal the food no longer looks good and I am satisfied. I can still eat anything, I take 6 pills in one gulp, three are capsules, three are small. I still drink carbonated drinks and bread. No problems. I have not counted calories and I tend to eat whatever I want each meal but as I said half of what I use to eat. I use to eat a lot before the surgery. I ate so much it surprised me. I would want to eat in an hour also. I am a diabetic and my doctor told my husband if your blood sugar is high it makes the body want food. I sure believe that. As I said I am not sure why but the band itself has helped me considerably. Hope this helped.

Arkansas Bansters!!!
Welcome, welcome, welcome, I am always happy to see Arkansas people. I am also happy to see you are my age. Why? I guess it should not make a difference but it is nice to have people that may experience similar things. I was banded by Dr. Wellborn on Sept. 25th. I have lost 29 lbs. so far. It has been slow but I am satisfied for the time being. I live in Conway. Tell me all about yourself. How are you doing so far? Suzanne

I have a rant.
Thanks once again to all of you. It does help to hear of other dogs and their seizures and know they are doing well. His nick name is Bully Bear. He came from a woman that shows Pekes. I met her when I bought one of her other pet quality pekes. Bully Bear is the name she gave him and I liked it. He is doing well. I took him to the vet and he wanted to put him on Phenabarbatol. I did not give it to him. I had one dog with sezures before and the vet put her on the phenabarbatol and she died shortly thereafter. I am watching him for now. He has had two seizures in a 3 month time. I am going to a different vet this next week. I have another peke that has a skin infection. He scratches allllllllll the time. I have had him to this same vet 3 times and they still have not cured his skin. He should not have to suffer. Thanks again to all of you. I love animal people. There is nothing like them in the world.

Non scale victory-bubble- bubble
Donna, your email reminds all of us how great this journey can be. I am still looking forward to jeans with zippers but it is funny the small pleasures we look forward to. I have enjoyed bending over easier and tying my shoes with more ease.

A suggestion for newbies!!
I am a newbie and would like to say that you should increase your font size on the first 3 or 4 threads. Since this area is a place a newbie should visit first before they ask questions that have already been answered they need to see it first! I did not see it first. My eyes tend to look midway on a page first instead of at the beginning.

Keeping it a secret?
I told my co-workers around me. One reason being is that I had to take off from work and knew everyone would be asking why. I was self pay so I was asked a lot of questions about insurance paying and how to pay. It has been okay I guess. I have people watch me eat and ask about my weight loss. I haven't lost as fast as I think they expect but.....all in all it has been okay. My family was very supportive and my husband also.

Finally a weight loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got one of the best Christmas presents ever. I lost 3 lbs. I was a little anxious as my weight loss had slowed way down. I knew I did not have restriction but was still eating so much less than before. I don't mind a slow weight loss as long as it keeps coming off. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any Handbag Lovers out there?!?!
I work with 2 ladies that LOVE handbags. One of them must have 1,000 purses. I have never quite understood it completely. I have always been a shoe and ring person. I love diamond rings especially. Anyway, the other day a Dillards ad comes in the paper and I saw this handbag and I fell in love. I had never heard of this brand but I had to have it. Off we go to Dillards and I bought it. It looks like Alligator skin, cream color on top, brown on the bottom. I bought the billfold too. It is a Brahmin. I don't know anything about this brand, but I loved the look. When I got to Dillards and saw the display I found several more I would of liked to have.

Christmas Doggies!

Christmas Doggies!
Well, I have found my page. I love dogs too. I especially love to see pictures of these precious fur creatures. I have 3 Pekingese myself and found a baby Bull Dog the other day that I am fighting to not get. When you shave a Peke they look an awful lot like a Pug. I love their little flat faces, snorting and spraying. I have loved animals since I could walk and started out my young adulthood many years ago with a Golden Retriever mix, 2 Irish Setters, then a Afghan HOund. When I lost them I did not have a dog for 15 years because of the pain. I decided I could not go through that again and they live such short lives. My daughter ask for a small dog one Christmas and my husband found a Peke-a-Pom so we brought it home. I thought it will her hers..I will not get attached. I don't know what I was thinking. She was a wonderful dog. One day the doorbell rang and my son opened it. Samantha ran outside and got hit by a car. It was the same day the Trade Buildings went down and at the same time. She is the reason we started getting Pekingese.

Anti-depressants
Thanks for all the advice. Tell me more about the Wellbutrin.

Anti-depressants
I was on Lexipro before my lap band surgery. I took myself off the meds and now think maybe I should go back on them. I feel down most of the time, and grouchy. Are many of you on anti-depressants and do they help you? Have you seen them hinder your weight loss in any way? I ate taking so many meds.

I have a rant.
Thanks so much to all of you. Yes, this happened the other night. I just lost a dog to seizures about 3 years ago so I was pretty upset when I saw him have one. I have read on the internet they can be faily common and that they can live a long life. My first thought was Sara didn't live a long life. She was 3 years old. The vet gave me phenabaritol (SP?) Thanks again for all your kind words and stories. I got my first dog at 14 and have been hooked ever since.

Walls of Text
I found it. It is under General Discussion. It is a poll. It is called Be Honest and it has your name as the one that started it. It also has a post with your name on the first page about the second or third post. I will not say what all it says. You need to reread it though. Now, I have proven it. I am now going to bed.

Walls of Text
I already told you the thread I thought I read it under. That is more proof than you have given me on these people that do not want me to PM them. If I only have two people that do not want me to PM them that doesn't seem too bad to me. The tread was called Be Honest. I am trying to find it. I also said I do not want to fight with you anymore. If it was not posted by you then as I said I stand corrected. It was my mistake. One of the best things about me is honesty. I haven't seen you post any proof that I have been nasty to anyone. I am still waiting for the post that I have been nasty to other people. I truly do not understand your anger or many of your posts. I am sorry you feel so strongly. I am going to bed and I did not read your post. You sent two. The first one I deleted. The second one came up on my emails as they all do and it said not to pm you anymore so I didn't. I think one thing that is strange is that all of us are not able to know who we are so why would I need to lie. I will never meet you or any of these people on this site. I am going to bed. You exhaust me. I will try my best to not respond to you anymore in any negative way. You post a lot and are on many threads so it is hard to avoid you but I will try my best to stay out of your way.
