  1. I am one week postop and I am having a very hard time getting on a meal and protein drink schedule. So far I've just been able to tolerate Jell-O and only a couple of days have I been able to get down all three protein drinks. I'm wondering what works for everyone else as far as approximately what time you eat and what time you drink a shake. Thanks so much.
  2. I haven't been able to keep Water down or Protein shakes now tonight haven't even been able to keep A sip of water down to take my pain meds Any advice or suggestions?
  3. Praying for a speedy recovery for you @chrissylynn82
  4. I know how to spell tomorrow I really do I just can't type on this stupid phone!
  5. You are so lucky! I have six incisions up-and-down my belly they're small and the nurses all told me that they're barely going to be noticeable when they heal but I notice them! Today is my last day of a clear liquid diet. Tommorro I can go to proteins and mushy stuff
  6. No leak think goodness! He let me come home since my husband is home for the week to take care of me.
  7. @jazmundo. My husband brought me up dry shampoo so I got to use that and what warm towels to wipe off with. I feel so much better now
  8. I actually had a setback last night I'm in a lot more pain today it hasn't gotten better so they just did a CAT scan on me to see iof my sleeve has a leak. That's great that you're feeling better!
  9. Thank you everyone. I'm sure I'll be more excited about this once my pain subsides a little.
  10. I can't have a BMI less than 35 and over the six-month diet I lost 20 pounds and then on the first week of the shrinking diet I lost 11 pounds that's when he took me off of it. Believe it or not after jumping through hoops and trying to gain back a couple pounds last week they didn't even weigh me yesterday morning before the surgery.
  11. I lost too much weight and the doctor took me off of the pre-op diet the week before my surgery. He said the surgery went really well and my liver looked fine and I had some really crappy stuff to try to gain a couple pounds back. Good luck to you!
  12. I was sleeved yesterday as well. How are you feeling today?
  13. Was anybody else sleeved yesterday? I am the hospital and I am on a pump for pain right now. The pain is really bad but I knew that going into this.
  14. I went for my preop appointment on Friday and I am 3 pounds away from having a BMI that is too low for the surgery on the 2nd. The surgeon took me off the preop diet and told me to eat (that's a quote). Before I saw the surgeon I saw a PowerPoint presentation that showed an alternative surgery if you don't shrink your liver it requires A long incision up your abdomen. Now I am kind of freaking out because I want the surgery and don't want to lose 3 pounds but I don't want to have that alternative surgery either. Do any of you have any suggestions on maintaining a balance so that I don't lose weight but I don't make my liver bigger after going off the one-week shrinking diet?
  15. Thanks thanks for all the suggestions. I am going shopping today.
  16. Actually I like Syntrax chocolate truffle. I have also tried Unjury's sample pack and I find that their flavors leave an aftertaste that I don't like. I am looking for any and all recommendations for soy or whey Protein powders or shakes that are not blends. I bought Torani sugar-free caramel and Peanut Butter syrups that I can mix in with flavors. Have any of you ever used unflavored Protein powder in like Crystal light mixes before? Really hoping to get some good recommendations thanks for all your help. I Love this board it's been so helpful.
  17. I weigh 218 and just starting my 2 week pre op diet. I am having the surgery on Feb 2nd because each time I lose the weight I always gain it back. I'm planning to follow the plan and lose the weight and keep it off forever!
  18. Wow I am really impressed with how much weight you have All lost. I hope I can do the same thing.
  19. Thank you all for the replies. You've given me a lot to think about.
  20. I have a friend who had the surgery last year and she recently told me that she originally lost 40 pounds and she's maintained A 35 pound loss. To get a BMI of 25 I need to lose 72 pounds or so (I start my pre-op diet tomorrow so I know I'll lose some before the surgery date of February 2). So that makes me curious how much did you lose what was your weight before surgery and what is your weight now if you don't mind telling me. 40 pounds just doesn't seem like it's worth it to do this. I'm extremely anxious about the surgery and maybe I'm just looking for reasons not to have it I don't know. I am committed to making the lifestyle change I just want to make sure it works.
  21. Sorry I'm on my phone I meant Premier protein
  22. Premier Pro Tien isn't on my approved protein shake list. I can only have pure whey or soy isolate not any blends. Is Premier a blend is that why I can't have it?
  23. I'm interested in what you eat typically, how you take your vitamins and supplements your protein shakes and water. thank you.
