  7. I can tell you with me, I became dehydrated the first couple of weeks and was misrable. I started drinking more, and taking bigger drinks. I was so concerned about what not to do and it overcame me. Once she starts feeling slightly better, she will see what she can do and cant do. Im still learning what my body lets me eat, and what it doesnt and having to take smaller bites. Its worth it. Tell her to get those fluids in!
  8. Ha, its ok! I never saw him besides him talking in the class, but its normal. Who see's you in the office? I see Mr. McDreamy hahaha. I stayed in the hospital for two days because I felt more comfortable. The rooms were nice, the first night I had an allergic reaction to the morphine so that was horrible. Other than that everything has been perfect so far!
  9. Is anyone from southwest Missouri, or surrounding areas? Im trying to find more people that have had surgery, to hang out with. To learn from and to share stories with.
  10. I'm from the Joplin area!! I went to Columbia, but they now have surgeons that work at Freeman. Dr. Coy is pretty awesome. I've known him for years Message me! And follow me, especially if you're so close!
  11. Oh, I say do what you're used to doing. I eat with the tv on, with my laptop on netflix.
  12. Possibly you're too restricted? I cant imagine. For me, I havent been able to have any protein shakes, so I started eating before they allowed to get the protein I needed. I am doing well, but there are times that I do have problems. Im not hungry at all, but I make sure I eat through out the day. I have "bigger" meals when my stomach rumbles. Good luck!
  13. Good luck dear! It is soooo worth it! I am 5 weeks out and lost almost 50 lbs. Best decision of my life. Go look at my profile, and keep me posted on your journey! Much love! Samantha
