First off, what kind of blood tests do they do before surgery? Second, did anyone have a nicotine test before surgery?

Took me a week and a half to get approved the second time but the first time i was approved i lost that coverage a week after i was approved ......but it doesn't take long as long as you get all of the requirements good luck!

I am just curious how long it took for them to approve you for your surgery?

My surgeon just sent my paperwork in today and then had to cancel because we switched insurance. Just wondering if anyone has any input on this insurance and if it was easy to get approved?

I am so upset right now. I had an alcohol problem in the past in which i went and got help back in 2008. i haven't touched it since except for last night and i drank a little too much at a Christmas party. My husband got very upset and called the hospital , i guess to see if they would take me in, and he told me we were going home and instead took me to the hospital for them to detox me.They kept me till this morning and told me I could go home. I am already all set for the gastric bypass and am now waiting to get my pulminary test done on Dec. 30th, everything else i have done. Supposed to have the surgery on Jan. 27th. Now I am afraid they will deny me. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks

Does anyone know how long the endoscopy results take to come back? I had it done Wednesday of last week.

I am hoping to have my surgery on Dec.26th...anyone have BCBS of RI? I am waiting for there approval.
