I do not have sleep apnea ... they already asked me a series of questions to see if I had any symptoms/if should be tested for it.. but then I figured..how would I know?! .. and if I did have it.. it would help me get approved.. I just know how this Ins. "game" works and I know I have to jump through hoops that don't even exist.. I'm working on going through this process and my irritation levels ... ????????????

I had my doctors appointment today and the medical group is telling me that I need to do a sleep apnea test ?! I already have high blood pressure I am at 41.7 BMI and the only thing my insurance company requires is to have the six-month nutrition due to my BMI why is it that the medical group is asking me to do more then the insurance group?!

45 mins?? for what. and 2 eval?? pleeez idk y they even bother making ppl jump through hoops.. smh

it was over in 15 mins.. ???????????? he said he approves me..???????? still need my first nutrition appt..Uuugh!!!

I soooo agree!!! I'm glad I changed doctors.. I'm glad I made a formal complaint hopefully everything goes in my favor!!!

I called my insurance company and the representative advised me that my medical group is the one who would have the final say so in regards of my surgery being approved or not and if it was denied that is in United healthcare would go over all the paperwork is this true? I was under the impression that all the paperwork would be done at my doctors office and then submitted to United healthcare(..just my logic)

( come to find out there have been other complaints about this doctor) what ppl need to understand is that it takes a lot for a person to admit they need help..and for a " professional" to belittle someone is totally wrong..

had my first PCP appt,the doctor was not friendly and told me that it's very hard to get approved ,and that all I need to do was start walking, that I do not need the surgery it's for people that are four hundred pounds and that she haven't seen anyone get approved. I switched doctors needless to say I'm 5'0 212 .. 209 now ( no walking..I stopped drinking soda)

I don't get what happened?? did u lose too much weight? I'm currently trying to gain weight to reach a BMI of 40 ..to make sure I qualify for a starting weight.. then lose the weight during the process by eating " better"
