  1. Thanks Christina for the update. All our thoughts are with Penni and her family.
  2. Congratulations!!! Quickest way is a good protein shake in the morning and lunch and then protein shake for dinner and make sure each shake has at least 24 grams of protein. Drink lots of water.
  3. Same to you Victoria and all the wonderful peeps at LBT!
  4. LOL....Karen, too funny!! Now mind you I am laughing with you not at you. Man first date blues, whewww...scary, I used to go on blind dates off my personal ads on the net...sheesh...the date (horror)stories I could tell you. I do feel for you and agreeing with the other posters about the ice cream date or bowling. Best of luck, Karen. *huggs*
  5. Just as an FYI, when Dr. Benavides was doing my band surgery, I too almost didn't get my band due to scarring from an old gall bladder surger had fused my liver and stomach together. Dr. B went ahead and cut through the scarring and was able to band me with great results. Just to add to tomorrowsdream, I am not sure I would give up. If these guys do not have enough experience then maybe another banding surgeon may do the trick.
  6. Very true Christine, I lost over 3 pounds myself, got back into the Southbeach trend for awhile.
  7. Congratulations, Lisa!!!
  8. Ewwww!!! Sorry you had to go through that!!!
  9. I am just responding that I hope you get to feeling better soon. I have never had a spleen issue, so I can respond to that.
  10. Babs I swear I seen something about that very thing on Channel 4 news here in about the last 6 weeks, but I would not swear to it. I will see if I can't locate something on their website about an address. Might be alot of fun!!!
  11. Welcome to bandland, Cheri. Take it easy when you can. I know it is hard with babies running around.
  12. Oh Penni, I am so sorry to hear about this. I hope all goes well with your surgery and you heal quickly. Man this stinks!
  13. I agree with what has already been posted. You are doing so well. You can still have whatever has been prepared, just not as much.
  14. Congratulations to you!!! You have come such a long way!
  15. It took awhile for me to feel 'hungry', but once I did watch out. Since I have a couple of fills, I just don't feel hungry as often. I ate yesterday at 8:30 and didn't really feel hungry until sometime after 1:30 and I was just fine.
  16. Thanks Carmen for that wonderful post! You are indeed and inspiration to us all to never give up and keep fighting!
  17. Thanks for letting us know Theresa. I hope she gets to feeling better fast!
  18. Yes, Kathy they do tend to grow up too fast!
  19. I went and did it.
  20. Thanks Aaamon! He is a sweetie!!!
  21. Yep, I am with you Christi, I have my 3rd fill scheduled for the 20th. I had a good weight loss this week, but feel that I don't have the restriction I need.
