  1. Wow. My surgeon makes females who can still get pregnant sign a waiver saying they cannot safely carry a baby until 24 months post surgery, and if they do become pregnant before that timeframe he is not liable for any issues that may arise. I hope you have a healthy pregnancy, but be prepared for the worst.
  2. When I got off the phone with the scheduler I panicked. But it's ok, we need this!! It's the absolute right thing to do
  3. Absolutely I know what you're saying!! Thanks I'm gonna check it out (I have an iphone) we should be surgery buds since our dates are close
  4. Hi Meredith! What app do you use to journal? I bought a small spiral notebook to track all my intake for the first few months
  5. Final approval came through from insurance! It's a GO!! Woohoo!
  6. I have harvad pilgrim.
  7. Bizarre!!! Hubby has a very sensitive nose, I wonder if he would be able to smell it. I will absolutely give it a shot, thanks!!!
  8. I hope I'm the same!!
  9. I started going to monthly meetings June 2013, my program only requires 3 monthly meetings along with all the paperwork and various tests. I dragged my feet. Do I want to do this, do I not? Fast forward to March 2014, I went to 6 meetings in a row, got my psych eval and all paperwork done handed that all in in august, got approved by the surgeon team, then got my appts for my upper gi and gall bladder ultrasound, nutritionist appoinent, nurse team visit and finally surgeon meet on November 13 2014. Got a call Monday with my date - January 19th 2015. So almost two years from my first thinking about it to getting it done. In reality, a year from psych eval (first appt I had to make on my own to accompany my paperwork) to surgery
  10. I'm making it my mission to try and find a yummy decaf! I love the flavor. My thing is the caffeine pick me up - I really *do* need it now. But hopefully post surgery my energy will be through the roof and I can never look back at my coffee!
  11. I will! I love coconut stuff, but have never tried coconut Water before. My husband has been considering getting a soda stream, and they have a tonic water mix. I could make it with light bubbles or no bubbles, if he does end up getting it.
  12. And I LOVE peppermint tea!!!
  13. OMG you poor dear!!!! I cannot even begin to imagine your pain I never tried coconut Water. I will get some for my next flare up.
  14. Funny you mention facial shingles (not haha funny...) I just saw an ad for shingles vaccine today and tge lady they showed had facial shingles. I never knew you could get it there - I always thought it was on the body. Hubby had it, and was in excruciating pain. His was on his side though, I can't imagine having it on the face
  15. Something about the quinine in it, I'm not sure how it works. And it works for some but not others. Google it! It's a miracle for me. I keep a few 1 liter bottles on hand and when in having an attack I sip it throughout the day and nite. I have RLS for 5-10 days then it gues away for a few months. Also eating a banana before bed helps
  16. Yeah yeah I know. I need to find a decaf I like.
  17. I am on the app and can't really see your profile? Where is your blog link? Thanks
  18. I drink tonic water on the regular for my restless leg syndrome. I guess I will have to start drinking it flat. How do you flatten out a bubbly drink?
  19. OMG! Totally didn't catch that autocorrect hahahah!!!
  20. Interesting!!! Every time I see that written out I'm like "the taco kind?" LOL!
  21. Thanks!! I literally cannot function without my first cup of coffee in the morning. My energy is zilch! My friend was the same way, she had sleeve back in September and said that her energy is through the roof and she can get by just fine without caffeine. I'm really hoping that's the case with me! Once my k-cups are gone I am not buying more (hubby drinks the weak boring stuff I have no interest in LOL)
  22. I see refried beans come up in a lot of posts about good foods to eat. Are we talking the yellow can of refried beans found in the Mexican food aisle at the store alongside the tacos?
