  1. I went to the doctor on Friday and had 1/2 cc removed. I am all better. Afterwards, I remembered why I might have been affected by this fill. I went to the doctor last week and asked to be unfilled slightly so I could do a colonoscopy prep on Monday. I decided to do the osmoprep, which I highly recommend. But I needed to take 20 large pills in one hour and then 12 in the morning. The prep was much better than the liquid stuff they make you drink. However, I did the prep on Monday, had the colonoscopy on Tuesday and went to be filled on Thursday. I believe my stomach might have been irritated by the prep and therefore, wasn't happy to have been filled. I will go back in a month to be filled a little more. What a relief!
  2. I went to the doctor on Friday and he removed 1/2 cc. I am all better. I think I know what happened. A week ago, I ask to be unfilled slightly so I could have a colonoscopy. The prep required me to swallow a total of 32 large pills. I had the colonoscopy on Tuesday and went for my fill on Thursday. I wonder if my stomach was irritated by the colonoscopy prep and that is why I had trouble when the doctor filled me on Thursday. I will go back in one month to be filled a little more.
  3. Thank you. I think that is the problem. I am sipping on a cup of hot tea and it seems to be going down okay. I will call them this morning because I don't know their Friday hours and to give them the heads up. :wink2:
  4. I know how frustrating it is when the food won't stay down, Jazzymom. Once I straighten out my latest problem , I think I might contact the nutritionist associated with the practice to see if she has any ideas. I'll let you know....
  5. I called at 5 but got the answering service. I will call first thing in the morning. I feel hungry..... Thanks for your advice.
  6. Thanks for the information. Liquids are staying down;however, I feel uncomfortable.
  7. Most of my fills are done in the doctor's office and I have had only 2 fills under fluro and it was to make sure everything is okay. However, I had one fluro fill today and am finding liquids are bothering me. I think I might have to call the doctor tomorrow. Has anyone had this problem?
  8. I had a fill under fluroscopy today. Everything seemed fine until I tried "eating". Since I am on liquids, I first tried a cup of hot tea. I felt uncomfortable right away and didn't finish it. Then late this afternoon I tried a Snapple Diet Ice Tea and am struggling getting it down. It isn't coming up, just not going down easily. I think I will call the doctor's office tomorrow morning. Has anyone had this problem? Tina
  9. My doctor cancelled my April colonoscopy due to a conflict. I just rescheduled it for August 4. I requested the osmoprep and he approved. Luluc, did you cut the pills in half? I am going to see my lapband doctor tomorrow. I am thinking of asking him to unfill me for the procedure.
  10. It has been a a long time since I have been on here. I am interested in the naked nuggets. How do you prepare them? Is anyone having trouble keeping good protein or good food down in general? I find sometimes it just doesn't want to stay down. Maybe I am swallowing too big a bite?? Thanks for your input.
  11. I am such a baby when it comes to drinking that stuff. I gag just thinking about it. I guess I will do what I have to do......
  12. Years ago I had to drink Golytely and ended up vomiting during the prep. I called the surgeon and told him and he told me to come in anyway. Unfortunately, the prep failed and the procedure was not a success. The thought of drinking the HalfLytely makes me want to gag. Was your prep over the counter or a prescription?
  13. Hi, Do you remember the name of the pill prep? I went for a pre-consult and even though I told the doctor I was banded, he gave me a prescription for HalfLytely. My procedure isn't scheduled until April so I have time. I also have an appt with my lapband doctor in March so I will ask him, too. Do you remember what your prep is like? Thanks!
  14. How did you make out? I just got my instructions and although I explained I was banded, the doctor gave me a 2 liter prep. I am so afraid of it. What did you end up using? I will ask my lapband doctor on my next visit to see if he has any other suggestions. My procedure is scheduled for April so I have some time to possibly find an alternative.
  15. It is my one year anniversary too! I have lost 35 lbs. I know exactly how you feel. Congrats to both of us for losing some weight. :crying:
