After my fills...it's just 2 days liquid...and back to eating..boy to me 10 days is way to long to stay on liquids...jmo

I was banded by Dr. Julio Texiera at Roosevelt hospital in Manhattan, we were told at the seminar that we would have to wait one year after surgery for PS, he was so informative!:thumbs_up:, I will really need a tummy tuck and these bat wings removed!:thumbs_up:

Good luck with your surgery! will keep u in my prayers, u look great! your stomach looks great compared to mine, i've lost 63 pounds in 5 months I excercise 4 times a week at the gym, my arms look like bat wings, excercise will not help them, is your insurance paying for it? i'm saving now because I don't think mine will:sad: unless I have rashes and is prone to infections.

I've lost 63 pounds since Jan 24th and I had my first fill 2 weeks ago I have good restriction no problem with foods so far.:blushing:

Please do a lot of research and go to support groups, the band is just a tool, and I think your eating is psychological, go to the groups and u will get so much insite, I had my surgery on Jan. 24th i've lost about 63 pounds so far, good luck :blushing:

Congrats, I had my surgery 1 Day before u, at Roosevelt hospital in n.y.c, if I lost 91 pounds in 15 weeks, I would jump so high and hit the ceiling! I guest it's true that men lose faster than women, keep up the good work.

My skin is not too bad, but my arms are a mess, I go to the gym 4 times a week, and i'm told only the top of my arms will tone, my stomach hangs, but not too bad, i'm using the ab machine, and I see some inprovement! i've been heavy all my life(from age 11) i'm from Antigua,W.I i've been here since I was 5 years old, i'm so happy with my band! my doctor told me to only sip water, I did it in the liquid phase, but not now, and i'm fine! i'm going for my first fill on the 30th, I had my surgery on Jan.24th and as of yesterday, i'm done 62 pounds!best thing i've done in my life:)

It took me two weeks! I didn't like that feeling at all! But I peed like crazy, it was after I went on pureed foods!

I had my surgery on Jan. 24th and I have not had a fill yet, i'm still losing, but I think I need one, because it's taking more to make me full now.

Hi Mike, I had my surgery at Roosevelt hospital in N.Y.C on jan.24th, I lost 38 pounds already,I just started soft foods on tuesday, I was pain-free within a week after surgery, had little twinges now and then, but no pain, I'm a stomach sleeper and it was very hard sleeping on my back, after a week, I was on my stomach again.

My Doctor is at St.Lukes Hosptial, but does surgeries at Roosevelt too, that's where mine was done, I wore sweat pants and a tee shirt with a heavy sweat jacket, wore sneakers, because I knew someone would be there to tie them for me, I already lost 38 pounds from 1-24 to now Good luck with your surgery.

What do u all mean by Full liquids? I thought we were limited to 4 oz's every hour? I was banded on 1-24 and I was on liquids for 2 weeks I am not hungry at all! but i'm thirsty I just started soft foods on tuesday and I have lost 38.4 pounds already.:thumbup:

Is there anyone here from the Bronx or anywhere in the City that had the Band put in?

Aloco53 go out and buy some zicam it really works! I did not get my date yet, but i'm still nervous, I had a breast reduction sept.05 and that was a 2 and a half hour surgery, this on is just 35 to 40 mins and not as serious, just pray, things will be fine.

I went to the seminor in jan, went to my first group meeting in april, my psych appt. was in june,had my first appt. in aug, had my bloodwork the same day,had my abominal ultra-sound in sept, had my dobutamine stress echo in october, went to second group meeting in oct, 18th second appt, october 23rd, did not schedule my surgery because my primery doctor's letter was wrong, they said the insurance company is not going to accept it! I was really pissed, then I said everything happens for a reason, my second appt is on the 11th and I will be told when my surgery will be, he said my insurance always excepts quickly, i'm really excited, so everything took less than a year.

I'm in n.y my doctor said as long as the juice is sugarfree it's ok and no soda, I drink crystal lite all the time, so i'm good with that, my second appt. is on tuesday, I think I would have had my surgery by now, but my primery Doc wrote the letter of approvel wrong, so I had to get another appt,

I didn't have my surgery yet, will have it end of dec- first week in Jan, was told no coffee at all, I think it s**ks, but will have to live without it.
