  1. Lucky you! I should've asked for that when I was in the hospital ???? haha thank you, I definitely am
  2. Yayy good to know! Making a cup right now ????
  3. Yuuummm! Haha I haven't been to Starbucks in sooooo long! Yeah I've heard about the straw and have been using one all week with no problems. Thank you!! ????
  4. I know we're not allowed to have caffeinated coffee, but how long after surgery did you wait to have DECAF coffee? I'm dying for a cup of coffee and decaf is good enough for me, but I'm only just over a week post op and I don't know if the coffee is okay for my little pouch yet
  5. I haven't heard that we can't have it but I haven't heard that we could. I just assumed lol hopefully we can!
  6. You can basically puree your own meats and stuff too lol
  7. Oh yes, definitely! Its a struggle but I'm definitely going to be sticking to it lol. Thank you though
  8. I've been on liquids almost a full week, I've been dying to go to pureed! I wonder why there is so many variations of the post op diet?
  9. You had the sleeve done? My doctor said 3 weeks liquid, 3 weeks puree and then solid foods. Im dying for the pureed stage already and want to move forward
  10. Yes of course! I attached the picture! You can add as much cinnamon, nutmeg, whatever spices you might like with it but be careful to how much your pouch can handle it. I've been able to take a lot of cinnamon (thank god) haha I eat it with my cream of wheat every morning so it isn't so bland. Anyways, there's a bunch of different recipes for pumpkin Protein shakes but this one is one of the very very few that sticks to our wls guidelines. Hope you enjoy it! ????
  11. I'm not pre op anymore, finally post op and will still be on liquids on thanksgiving! Thankfully my family is very supportive of it and are helping me along with it. My cousin is making me a pumpkin spice protein shake which tastes amazing and a turkey broth soup. Of course I won't be able to drink a lot of either but the company of family and friends will be worth it ????
  12. Hmmm I'll definitely try that! Thanks ????
  13. I was on the 18th and I haven't gone yet. I don't even have the urge to and I also don't feel backed up. If it gets worse, I'll probably ask my doctor what to do, I know my cousin bad to take a little of miralax or something to get her going. Either way, I'm sure it's because we haven't had real food in our systems for so long. Once we got a little more "solid" foods in it'll all get better. I've been told to add more Fiber in and maybe even take Probiotics
  14. Woops I meant 3 days lol I'm off a day I guess haha. I'm glad too! It makes going through this much easier when people in the same situations can help. I would've never known to try promise if it wasn't for people having the same problem as I am lol. Keep us updated on your progress ????
  15. I had mine 2 days ago on the 18th and started prilosec this morning as well! As far as burping goes, that will slow down. The burning and acid did stop thankfully. I'm 19 yrs old and in college as well. I can say pain wise it does get better! I did a lot of walking around today and I'm extremely surprised it helps a lot! I'm sure you'll be feeling much much better by the time Monday rolls around! ????
  16. It should definitely! Prilosec worked miracles for me
  17. I am 2 days post op and just made some cream of wheat with a little bit of cinnamon and Stevia to give it some flavor. I added some of my isopure unflavored protein powder. It's delicious! This is all I've tried so far since I'm still a newbie lol but I hope it helps!
  18. I was having the EXACT same problem, the extreme hunger pain and it was unbearable!!! I had my surgery on the 18th. I took one prilosec today and haven't had it much at all today. Hopefully it'll keep getting better. Definitely recommend taking it, it really really does help! ????
  19. Good to know! My parents keep freaking out thinking I'm going to have to be admitted back in the hospital because I'm not drinking much and its because I can't yet haha my tummy gets so full on so little. I feel like its just still swollen maybe and I think I have the excess acid problem so today I'm going to start taking prilosec and hopefully that does help
  20. Ohh okay awesome! I'm still at the point where I cringe at the thought, smell, or look of food. It disgusts me right now haha. I'm still struggling to get down my liquids. Its been extremely hard for me, every little sip hurts. Hoping tomorrow is going to be much easier.
  21. Thank you! It's been a little rough the last two days. Have you had your surgery yet?
  22. My mom is going to the store right now so I'll have her pick up some, thank you guys! I'm really hoping that helps! I'm allowed to take it 2 days post op though, right? It won't be to harsh on my new pouch?
