  1. When did you start having purees? I am on stage two and all I want is a veggie soup ????
  2. Oh ok guys thanks.. I am 10days out so far and can't wait!
  3. When did you try it first? What about tuna salad? I make it with low fat yogurt and a little but of fat free mayo ... I am only 10days out and scares me "what do you mean no meat" lol
  4. I am almost 10 days post op. I live in the valley. Had my surgery in west LA with dr Zelada. Thanks I'll check Out your blog. Keep in touch
  5. I called the registered nurse she said my body is going through a lot of changes and I had major surgery she suggested me to see a psychiatrist I refused ... She said it's common. I get to see one of the surgeons on the 31st. I'll discuss with him and see what options I might have.
  6. I am 9 days out and feeling all sorts of emotions... Still on clear liquids ...right now this is not where I want to be in life.. It's difficult to even just wake up thinking it's another day to feel miserable. Not in any pain physically but I am emotionally hurting.. This sucks!
  7. I am 8 days post op and I completely understand you. I wish I could at least be able to eat some berries or citrus to get some flavor in my mouth. I've been only drinking water, broth, and taking my vitamins haven't been drinking my proteins as I should be ????. I was on stage two (full liquids) that didn't go well so I have to give my body some more time to heal. But I wonder how long does it take after surgery to be able to eat? I know it will never be like before and I'm glad but when is it ok to have a few bites of salad or tuna or few berries??
  8. I had a revision from lapband to rny I have 7
  9. You guys I don't know why but I am depressed, my surgery was on dec 17th and depression has hit me. I know what I did is a good thing and I did it for my self but why am I depressed? Everything gets to me so quick and I don't want to go anywhere to see anyone and I just feel like crying. I started on stage two full liquids as of Monday and for some reason the pain was unbearable... I called my dr and he told me that I had major surgery especially because mine was a revision and I have a lot to heal inside. I think that pain has traumatized me from food. I don't think I will eat again. Is anyone else experiencing the depression part??
  10. Congrats in your new journey. I had my rny in 12/17/2014 and I can tell you a lot has changed for me as far as food goes. I look at everything differently. I am on full liquid stage and for some reason after I eat something 20 minutes later I get this terrible stomach pain that comes and goes and I has me on my knees asking Jesus to take me... I don't know what the cause to this is but I am in horrible pain. A friend of mine who has had the bypass said maybe my body is just not ready for the full liquid stage and I should go back to clear liquids and as far as I am concerned I don't think I will be eating anything at all for a while. This pain freaks me out to even put anything in my mouth. From this point on I know I am going to have a very hard time incorporating new foods in my diet. This pain freaks me out. I'm just miserable right now...
  11. @@Jonathan Blue I checked the soup and no dairy product was listed in the ingredients so I'm not sure if it's even the dairy anymore I'm just very confused at this point. I called my cousin who had the surgery done about 10 years ago and what he told me is that since I'm only six days postop and even though my doctor said it's okay for me to be on full thicker liquids, maybe my body is still just not healed yet from the inside. He suggested that I go back on just clear liquids for now and give some time for my inside to heal. I'm having such a hard time taking in two protein shakes a day for now I'm only able to take just one... This is much harder than I was anticipating ????
  12. Ok so I am on stage two and had a few bites of butternut squash soup (which used to be my fav until today) is giving me bad gas and cramping ... Yesterday I experienced that with milk and was in my knees praying to Jesus to just take me because I couldn't bare the pain... And now the butternut squash first off it didn't taste so great anymore! Second I am now slowly having tummy aches again like yesterday , granted it's not as bad as yesterday's but C'mon should i just stop eating period?? I'm confused
  13. Costalchick I started thicker liquids as of yestersay but me too I can't wait to be able to eat some normal food.. Hubby got me some butternut squash soup which used to be my fav is tasting very weird to me right now... I honestly think our taste buds and cravings will be changed after this ... But I know what you mean and I am right there with you... Hang in there !!
  14. Jbsmooth I like Greek yogurt but I am afraid to try dairy again... Last night I mixed a tad bit is milk in my cream is wheat it had me on my knees praying to Jesus alll night !!
  15. Hi guys I finally had a BM this morning ... It all happened naturally..today is my 6th day post op ????
  16. I am almost 7 days post op and need to dye my hair. With all the body changes would it be ok? Or should I wait?? I don't know what to do .. I know it's a weird question but I need an answer lol
  17. Oh I see, well in had very bad felt like stomach spasms yesterday all night started at 4pm lasted throughout the night I figured out what it was from... I asked my mom to make me some cream of wheat asked her to add some milk to it to make it creamy.... Yup it was the milk it got me bad ... I thought it was the end of me! Thank God I am feeling better.
  18. Really?? I had a few spoons of cream of wheat and two spoons of yogurt and I am in pain now on my right side spasming to my stomach not sure what caused it ... Could be gas I took gasx but no changes ... The pain comes and does... God I hope it has nothing to do with the constipation ... Lord help me!!!
  19. I am almost 7days post op and I haven't gone #2 !! Is this normal ?? I don't feel like I have to go but is it ok?
  20. Anyone on this form from Van Nuys ca? It would really help to connect with someone local and share some of the things we both are going through ...
  21. Oh ok, good to know I'm not the only one. Yes my Dr gave me a list to follow ... Premier protien shakes, strained cream of wheat or oatmeal, and creamy soups or butternut squash soup. I wonder if applesauce would be ok... That would be refreshing
  22. Oh that's awesome. Good luck on your journey... I was doing fine until today I started my thicker liquid stage .. Had some cream of wheat and couple spoons of yogurt and now all of a sudden I am having stomach pain ... It's a weird pain it comes and goes and I feel my tummy gargle. It kind of feels like spasms . So weird. Did you experience anything similar ?
  23. Congrats on your surgery! I was just bypassed on the 17th so I am 6 days post op... I am also looking forward to these questions. Great post
