Hi Everyone, I'm not telling anyone what to do or by any means trying to be intrusive. It's just a suggestion. Maybe we can keep one thread with the July Bandsters, it makes it easier for all of us to keep in touch and get to know each other. Like I said, it's really no biggy I just thought it would be easier.

Thanks Pink Mary!! congrats on your amazing weight loss, you're a great inspiration. To all of you leaving the States for surgery.. I'm so jealous!! I want to hang out in Mexico too. I'd go a week before and have a blast!

I'm so jealous of all of you "beginning of the month bandsters" I'm all the way towards the end. Just promise you all wont' toss me out to the August bandsters.... LOL

I get scared sometimes reading these threads. I just recently realized that everyone is different and just because something happens to one person, doesn't mean it'll happen to me. Then I also think that their are some things that could be worse. I'd rather slime or PB with the band, instead of having a heart attack from being fat. I'll be thinking of you and the others!!!

Telly, I just wrote a huge post and boom, you posted it first. LOL Good job writing it. Anyway, I have to say that I am not a huge fan of Star Jones.. BUT she did a great job tonight on Larry King. She still didn't come right out and say she had WLS. but, she did basically say DUHHHH how do you think I lost this amount of weight, so quickly. She called it a medical intervention. Like I said, I really don't care for her but she has a right to not say a word. I don't plan on telling anyone, besides my husband, that I'm getting the band. SO that means I need to lie about how I'm losing weight.. You guys won't hate me will ya (jk). I know some will say well she's a public figure and she sold a book and so on. But from what I understand.. Star stated in her book as well, that there was a medical intervention needed, in order for her to lose weight, to save her life. She held herself pretty good on Larry and she told it as it is. OH well, we can beat this like a dead horse:deadhorse: . We all have our opinions and we're all entitled to them. I guess the way I look at it is.. you never know until you walk a mile in someone else's shoes. If I was a celebrity, I think I wouldn't share my WLS with the world either.

TOO FUNNY! Are you kidding me??? My husband would say "SORRY HUN" you're not getting the band, if I can never get the sucky, sucky again! LOL I also enjoy pleasing my husband. I wake him up at least once a week, before he goes to work.. just to make his day. First I flash my and then my fat Then I get my and my toy . I then start and then SPLATT.... After all this.. he best help me out and do me a favor Anyway, what a great question and thread. It's nice to see a :funnypost:

Leona, I'm glad to hear your Mom is having no issues! That is very reassuring for me. Time 2 live - I'd be getting anxiety too! You'll be okay... be excited, your life will change and it will be "TIME 2 LIVE"

giggle3474, dsh0917, pugchick It's your time!!!! I'm not quite sure if any of you are heading for Mexico for surgery, but if you are BEST OF LUCK!! Be safe and have a speedy recovery. Funny, I have the same as you. No pre-op diet and the same plan as you for aftercare. From what some say, we must consider ourselves lucky. :clap2:

No problem Fishy!!! :biggrin1: Our month for surgery is finally approaching at a faster rate! Can't wait to hear about all your experience's. I'm at the end of the month, so I'll have lots of knowledge to take in from you all. HERE WE COME,

My surgeon put in the paperwork for me 2 days after he gave me a date (he was waiting for his PA to come in from a seminar), It's been about a week and half and I've not heard anything yet. I went to Lahey in Burlington, MA and I love how they do their appts. They schedule one day from 9-4 and you see the psych., PA whom gave me an exam, nutritionist and you have your lapband info. class. Then I went to 2 nutritionist appt. and was giving a date, I had to post pone due to a sick family member. I also heard BCBS was changing their policy, I know they have chaged some things since April of this year and they are doing more further down the line. My best suggestion is for you to ask to be put on waiting lists, even though you have an appt. A lot of stuff happens and may not go someone's way.. so they cancel their appts. I was not suppose to see my surgeon again until Aug. 18th.. and boom two days later they had someone cancel and I got in and came home with a surgery date. Everyone's experineces are going to be different, I think, because no hospital or surgeon is the same. Best of luck and let us know how it all fares out for you.

Harley Nana, I also have the Lexus Lx 470. I absolutely love it, I hope you do too. I am bias to Lexus, It's the only car I've driven in my life. Don't you just love the features? My personal fav. is how you can talk on the phone through the steering wheel. Nothing like pushing a button and saying a name... and have the car dial it up for you.. :clap2: I have the metalic silver color

Wow!!! What a great job. Be proud, I know I am proud of you. I am amazed that you had no fill through out!! I hope and pray that I have such sucess as you do. Lots of hard work really does pay off. GOOD FOR YOU!
