Before getting the surgery I did so much research because I was very scared to do it????????. But for me there was more positives than the other procedures. And let me just say I have been very blessed???? with the whole thing. I'm@ 16 months now and so far I've only been sick because of bacon????. And it was in a broccoli salad. But I still do the turkey bacon. I like the fact that I hv a reason to watch???? what I eat. And yes I do hv my cheat days????, but I still Don't over do it. Plastic surgery? No, before my surg I decided to take off wrk for a 1 yr because of surg and because my son starting pre school. So I got a gym membership and I would go 4x5 times a week. Now down to 2x3 days. Do to wrk, but every time I go I challenge myself more and more. I wanna say it has become an addiction. ???????? Sent from my SGH-M919N using the BariatricPal App

Where in cali are u at? I had mine done through medical as we'll. How they said it depends on ur dr. All my process took about a month. For me, was every time I finished an appt I would call my drs office and let them know. And I would tell them ok my next step. I think the only thing I paid for was the nutritionist, because the ones that medical provided were to far. Thank u luv. Yes I luv it because I can be so active with them. And they also keep me up on my things. There so use to working out or being active that when I hv lazy days, they give me so much motivation to keep pushing its crazy. Just stay dedicated and positive luv, and u will accomplish ur goal. I was always super small, then life and children hit and I gained a lot of weight. I'm only 5.1 and I was close to 300 lbs. On surg day 12/9/14 I was 220 lbs. 1 yr and 3 months and I'm at 114. I'm so happy to be back. I'm not 103 like in high school but belive me I'm happy. The best part of this is my boys love that I can do anything they want. Had surgery Dec 9, 14 and I have a couple of people that have got the same thing but, they are like 5 yrs out and I would luv to be able to talk to someone who's had it recently. Feel the need to hang out and talk to someone that knows what I'm going through...

Ugh and belive me I cant wait. Need to have something other than liquids already. I mean dont get me wrong weight loss is going great, I had to have a sneak peek of my weight and I feel like im doing good. But I miss the different textures. Also my hubby had to stay home from work 2day, because Ive been feeling a bit dizzy and weak. And having an 8 and 4 yr old. Yea theres not very much rest. And to top it off the incisions are itching like crazy. Well thank you for letting me vent a little...

Thank u beni. Since im kn my first week I just want it to go by quick. Cant wait untill I can make dinner for the whole fam and hv my portion on the side. But yes my appetite is gone. I make my self drink all my fluids. And yes I took a pic the day of surg and in planning to take one at least every or everyother week.

Thank you everyone. And yes im very glad its been easy so far. Ive heard both sides of the stories positive and negative so yes I was a little scared. But everyone had been very supportive and helpful. I mean my hubby has ate some good looking stuff in front of me but it has not phased me..

Finally got my surg Dec 9th. Lft hospital on the 10th. The nurses and dr said I was doing really good. Now I just cant wait till my 2nd week so I can have more than liquid. My hubby finds it funny how fast I get full. And only on liquids..lol How is everyone else doing?

My journey is going really fast. Consultation was sept 29 and my surgery date is this tues. Dec 9. My ins received my paperwork on Mon and said that by the 8th I should have an answer and my Dr's office called 2day. And gave me my surgery date... Whoo whooo.. my stomach is in knots... I bought everything I needed and set up arrangements for my kids.. I've had a crazy day. I just want to scream... ahhhhhhh!

Now I'm really excited because my 4 hour class is on the 25th and they told me surgery date should be not month. Just need exact date... whoo

Nope not yet. I have my dietician apt on the 12th I can't wait. After the just wait on my ins approval for the surgery... and for me I can wear heels but just not for a long period of time. And yes yes to the running around with my boys.. have more energy period. . I just want them to give me a date already. .
