Just got a call from my primary who just now took a minute to look at my blood work, 4 days before surgery and has found that one of my blood workups shows a slight elevation. (this is the test that tests if your blood clots fast or slow, apparently mine is showing it clots a little tiny bit slow) Therefore, he will not give me medical clearence at this time. I have to rush to the doctor this afternoon to get another test taken. So it is not looking all that great for me right now. I may not get to have surgery on December 4th after all.

Anyone else freaking out yet? I do not know if I should be scared or excited or nervous or all of the above. How is everyone coming up next week feeling right now???

I am going to be banded at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge, VA. We have about the same amount of weight to loss to get to our ideal weights. It will be interesting to see how this goes for both of us! Good luck to you.

I am sooo excited. I will be banded on December 4th. After a long struggle with my insurance company and a lot of highs and lows during this process the day will be here soon. I am very excited to be part of the December bansters!!

Hello Everyone!!! I am sooooo excited about getting the Lap Band on December 4th. It is something that I have waited for for a long time. I orginally was denied by Cigna for not following the 6 month physican diet to the T. I was seeing my physcian every other month instead of every month during the 6 month time frame. However, I sent in a really great appeal letter and just got word last week that they approved me. Now I am scrambling around trying to get all my pre-op stuff done. I am so excited to change my life. Well just wanted to say hello to everyone!
