  1. 227.2. I didn't make my goal. Came pretty close though. Can't wait for the next challenge.
  2. I also carry alot of weight in my stomach. While it has gone down it is still alot theire. I am working out daily and have met with a personal trainer. I was told that sometimes your stomach is the last thing to lose. You need to build up muscle to help burn the fat from your stomach. I have the same problem that my stomach and boobs wears a size 18 and the rest of me could probably fit a 14/16. I have faith that continuing to follow plan will get me to goal and that this stomach will have no choice but to be gone.
  3. Current weight is 233. I may actually hit my goal for this challenge.
  4. I got a weave two weeks before surgery so I wouldn't have to deal with my hair and it would be easier for working out. That was in May. Last week I has my weave reinstalled for the 2nd time and noticed hair loss at my temples. I was disappointed and upset. My hair stylist (whom I absolutely love) asked do you want the weight back or the hair? He assured me that the hair would grow back and that the weight I have lost is a great trade off for the hair I loss. So I will continue to wear weaves for the rest of the year. I will make a decision about cutting it after than. Thank God for weave!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Great advice. Sometimes we want all the weight off so bad, that we don't acknowledge and appreciate the weight that has come off. I am thankful to be down 74 pounds. And I am earning to change how I communicate that. Over the weekend my cousin asked how much I had lost? My response was I have lost about 70 pounds but I still have 100 more to lose! I will stop discounting my sucess today. The next time someone asks my answer will be "I have lost over 70 pounds and I look and feel great!" Period. Because that is the truth.

  14. Today's weight 249.8. It has been over 4 years that I have been under 250.
  15. I weigh myself every day, first thing in the morning. I only record my weight on Monday mornings. Pre-surgery, I weighed everyday and the number on the scale had the ability to ruin my day. I no longer allow the scale to control me. It is just another tool. I also try on a smaller pair of pants every couple of days as well. Again it is just a tool. I completely agree with @Babbs.
  16. I use a regualr fit bit. My fitness pal to track food and JE Fit for strength training.
  17. Current weight 254.8.
  18. Current weight: 257. Thanks
  19. Today's weight 260.4
  20. My post was not to condemn those who drink. To each their own. I am sure that at some point in time I will indulge in a cocktail or two or three. This was an issue that irritated me last week. As I have stated in previous posts, I attempt to reflect on things to see if this was truly about the "alcohol" or something deeper. I realize now that it was both and neither. As I'm nearing the anniversary of my father's death, who battled addiction the majority of his life, I know what alcohol can personally do to a family. I also read those statements thinking, "Will this turn into a hate the vets post" after one responds. My other thoughts came from wanting everyone to be fully successful on this journey. I also drink from a straw and have since day 1. It was becuase of this site and another one that I belong to where vets said it was ok. Clearly last week was an emotional one, here's hoping for a less emotional week! LOL
