  1. Hey everyone ~ my name is Gina and I live in Ky. I have just recently started my lapband journey. My insurance will pay for my surgery 80% but of course my primary physician has to send my medical records and a letter stating that the lapband is medically neccessary. My insurance then takes my record before a medical board and reviews it to determine if they will pay for it. This can take 30 days. My doctor sent all this out yesterday evening ~ YaY. But now I'm so nervous, I'm so afraid they will turn me down. Like I told my husband ~ if they approve it then in the long run I would actually save them money because the surgery will help with a lot of my medical problems. Sorry if it sounds like I'm rambling, I am just so excited and nervous all at the same time lol. Thanks for reading though!!
