  1. I should clarify...I drink liquids all day. but when I eat Soup or applesauce, I do 2T.
  2. I am 6 days post op and except for some incision pain, I feel pretty good. However, when I am "drinking" my meals I find that I can't tell if I'm full or not. I don't have that feeling of satiety. This concerns me as I'm afraid I'll overeat , so I measure approx. 2 T of food and eat that , then stop. Is this right? Also, I have a burning twinge when I digest liquids of any kind. I started taking my Omeprazole 40 mg. again after it made me nauseous the first day I took it. I thought it was stomach acid. Sorry for being so needy with the help, but this is ALL new and I'm not sure what my body is telling me. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.
  3. Just curious...but why are so many people's pre op diet different. Mine is all liquid but I've seen on here vegetables, chicken, things like that. Just curious...I know its the physician's discretion but just wondered if one was any better than the other.
  4. I am excited, but because this is so permanent, I'm also worried about it. The excitement will kick in when the weight starts to drop off. Then we'll know its been worth it. Hang in there...
  5. This is my first day on the full liquid diet pre op. It's not been bad, but only day 1...I have found that
  6. I'm getting sleeved on Nov. 17th, too. I start my pre op diet Monday the 10th and am apprehensive about the liquid diet. I know i can do it, but geesh!!! I think its a mind thing.
  7. I also have United Healthcare and my surgery date is November 17th. I had lots of hoops to jump through before it was submitted, but if they tell you that you qualify then you're good. Especially with your case manager on your side...they're supposed to make sure everything is ok before submission. hope this helps
  8. I will have surgery on November 17th!!!
  9. I live east of Sedalia about 7 miles.
