Hi, I was banded in October 2007 also. I'm glad to read that I am not the only one that is losing very slowly. I have felt like a failure also. Now I am thinking that maybe I just need another fill. I have only had one. That was January 2nd. I was hoping it would last a little longer so I didn't have to pay that fee again. This is getting expensive! I have lost 20 pounds since October. That seemed to come off right away. I have been stuck at the same weight since November now. It is really discouraging. You all have helped me feel like hanging in there though. Thanks so much. Gail

Thanks Gayle. I made an appointment with Dr. Maese today. I will have to fly there but I feel much safer having him do the fill with Fluoro than the Dr. I had planned to see that does not.........AND charges the same price. Gail

Yes, I went to Acuna, Mexico in October. Dr. Jose Rodriguez put my lap band in. He was very nice and the hospital was great. I felt very comfortable there. That was Oct. 11th. I have lost 15 pounds. I am still in the healing phase so I don't feel much restriction. I plan to get a fill in December. Gail

Hi, Anyone know of the closest fill Dr. to Amarillo, TX? I contacted Dr. Crum here in town but he will not do fills on anyone that did not have the surgery done by him. I had my band placed by Dr. Rodriguez in Mexico. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. Gail:help:

I had surgery in Acuna,Mexico. It was only $7500. That was 3 weeks ago and I have lost 15 pounds. I would do it again! The hospital was clean and the nurses and Dr.s were great. Gail
