  1. It was amazing!! I love the Emory team. The doctors and nurses where so amazing and nice.
  2. I had to reschedule my last app. Because I had to take my mom to the E.R. ( she's fine now) So this brings me to.. Me being nervous about tomorrow. I don't know what to expect. It's my first time driving in Atlanta by myself also. An on top of that, it's suppose to be storming ????????????. I have all these fears about going. What ifs mostly. I'm so ready for this stage to happen in my life. I'm just scared as to what is to come in the future. But happy at the same time. I'm a ball of emotions right now.
  3. Just curious about what everyone's reason was to chose the lapband out of all the other chooses. Please feel free to share.
  4. How much are fills? How often did you need a fill? I know everyone is different. Just want some outlook on to what is to come in the future.
  5. What should I expect from my very first doctor app.? It's Oct 1st at Emory in Atlanta.
  6. After surgery I know it's gonna be awhile before I can really eat solid food. An when I can it's going to be small small portions. But my question is on special occasions will I be able to eat a little cake for a birthday. Or eat out for a birthday. (Healthy of course) even though they will be tinny portions. Just wondering if anyone has had any troubles with eating these king of things occasional ( like in a once in a blue moon, kinda way). ??
  7. I understand what I'm getting myself into and I appreciate everyone's concerns. I've always been overweight aka obese as they call it. I'm now morbidly obese. I just got diagnosed with sleep apnea. I've been dieting and exercising for almost a year now an only have lost 10 pounds. I've tried every diet possible. Right now I'm 335. I haven't seen below 200 sense I was in 3rd grade. I know I need this surgery. I want this surgery. I'm just worried about it like I'm sure everyone is worried about surgery. I don't want to be able to feel the lapband. An after finding this site today. I now am not concerned about about it.
  8. So im new here, just joined a min ago. I've been doing research about the lapband for about a year now. IM finally going to go throw with it. The olny thing I am freaked out about, is the fact that doctors want you to keep the lapband in for life. That freaks me out, having a object in your body for the rest of your life is scary. I'm 22, just turned 22. I have a long while, till I die... hopefully. Just need some advice and support about everything. Thank yall.
