It is the day before surgery with nothing but liquids. And I have a huge headache.. I don't think I am suppose to take anything... I have surgery at 8am in the morning.

I tell them that my dad and grandfather passed with the same health issues I have when they were 62... I am 41 and desire to have more than 20 years left. I want to see my grandchildren and great grandson.... Oh wait first I need to have my on and this weight is the problem....

I was having a lot of negative from people when I first started. My response to them was you either want me here for longer or you want to leave this earth earlier.. When my health is on the line everything else takes a back seat. My husband and kids finally support me in this. I made my husband and kids apart of my journey. My husband knows what I can and cannot eat he has taken over the grocery shopping and he cooks my meals 3 times a week. The kids go to the gym with me and work out. I let them know I was going to get this done and I would rather have their support then having to find other people to support me through this. Keep your head up and stay focus on the goal and the end result.... Better health!!!!

I have been on this preop diet now for 3 weeks, I have 1 more week to go. It has truly been a challenge. But I lost 25lbs while on it.. I am so ready for surgery on the 16th!!!!

Hi everyone, I had my EGD done today. I am 2 weeks in to the pre-op liquid diet and I have 12 more days to go...I am excited and anxious... Surgery is Oct 16, in Greenville SC.

I am new to the group. I am having the gastric sleeve surgery on Oct 16th. I am excited. I have been dealing with my weight issue since my 20s and I am 40 now. It has really been a rollercoaster ride. But I got serious about my health last year when my father past. I decided I wanted to live.. I am tired of taking meds, sleeping with a CPAP. Tried of not being able to do active things with my husband and children. So I started my bariatric journey in July of this year. These last 19 days I am in preparation mode. I cleaned my closet today and only kept clothes to make it through fall and winter. No turning back.

I am scheduled for October 16...
