  5. My surgeons office said they've never really had a problem with my insurance and that's the "ideal" insurance for patients to have ... I'm not too worried but I was waiting for an approval after my 6 month diet so when she said that it kind of threw me off
  6. I called my insurance company today which is blue cross Blue Shield of Michigan. I was told that my insurance does not require a prior authorization however there are prior requirements that need to be met before surgery for example the six-month diet. so am I safe in assuming that my surgery is approved since there is no prior authorization required and I've completed all the requirements already? I asked the lady on the phone however it seemed like she kept getting around my question and saying there isn't a prior authorization required...
  7. So I've read that your feet shrink as the pounds are coming off...(I'm assuming they get thinner and less swelling ) So I'm curious to know how many people went down in shoe size after WLS?
  8. I had to do a 6 month supervised diet as well and I thought it was bad at that time, but now I've been waiting a week for my insurance company to approve my surgery .... this is so much worse I can't take it anymore!!!it's all I'm thinking about this past week!!!

  19. Yes I had to do one too.... My doctor said it's to make sure your heart is healthy enough to withstand surgery and even if you do not have any known heart problems he wanted it done because a lot of people have heart disease and don't know it
