VSG surgery is a growing field that has opened up opportunties for outpatient. I wont lie - I had many reservations about it but ultimately it was the right choice for me. I do feel I had a great experience and wouldnt change it for anything. That is part of why I posted my sleeve story on my blog so others who may be considering outpatient or are doing it may have a little more insight. Thanks for watching and giving feedback!

OMG - I thought I was the only one that went through the daily regime of emotional disturbances. I am doing the EXACT same thing. I have finally decided that I can go through these emotions everyday - BUT at the end of the day I am going to take 1 hour for me that has nothing to do with WLS. Since it is not yet that time I would like to add that I am currently freaked and researching the boards lol. In about an hour I will be calm and talking myself off the ledge. Thank you to everyone putting advice and info out there! Its appreciated!

Has anyone had Dr. Umbach in the last 2 years... Any words of wisdom regarding his care, staff and complications?

I am really struggling on deciding which surgeon. How are you all deciding? Are their websites someone is willing to share where you can search credentials? How did you decide? Thank you for the advice i am driving myself crazy...

As a nurse i wanted to share a thought.... This is a life altering surgery and children of this age lack the capacity to grasp and understand the many faucets of impact it will have on their entire life. If you sleeve her and she has a complication or even spends childhood having to eat differently and develops issues from that who will she blame as an adult? Are you prepared to handle that or drs acusing u of neglect if she has nutriotional or growth deficits as a result

Naturalbabe how did your surgery go?

Hello! I am a newbie and just recently decided on surgery in Mexico. Can anyone give me suggestions on how/where they did most of their research at to find mortality / complication rates? Who did you guys go with and why? I had a couple of doctors picked out but now I am not sure again. This is such a huge decision... How did you know when you found the right doctor? Any suggestions or information will be so helpful! Thank you all! I can see already these boards are going to be my new best friend! I was looking into Dr. louisiana Valenzuela (mexico bariatric) and Dr Ortiz (from a lighter me) also might consider Dr. Osuna SO WORRIED ABOUT MAKING A WRONG DECISION....
