    Thanks guys! I just found the requirements online that start Jan 2016. It says proof of either 6 month medically supervised diet OR logs from a structured weight loss program for 6 months. I wonder how strict they are on this, like if weight watchers online counts since you are actually recording your own weight?

    Hi! I was just wondering if anyone has had UnitedHealthCare and NOT had to do a 6 month diet before getting surgery? I've been looking at previous posts here but it seems like everyone that has UHC has had to do the diet. My insurance is ending in 6 months so REALLY hoping I don't have to wait! Jules
