I have the same situation. I was sleeved Nov 2014 and I now have really bad acid reflux and heartburn all the time. Not sure how to go about seeing if I qualify through my insurance for a revision. I am 5 months post op and AF is 18 days late...???? i took like 4 hpt and all were negative thank God!!! But i'm not sure what may be going on. Has anyone else had anything like this happen? ????

First of all let me start off by saying that I had the surgery on the 18th. I have yet to get in my liquids or protein. I drink water pretty much all day, but get pain in my stomach after every sip. I was having really bad reflux and called the doc and he told me to take the prilosec at night and in the morning. Then I have pain and a really uncomfortable feeling in my lower stomach on the left side if I sit for a long period of time. Therefore lying down has been comfortable for me. And I'm still experiencing gas pains in my left shoulder and really funny because it feels like they are in my lower back also. I have been walking everyday, but afterwards I feel very weak. Sorry for such a long post but I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing any of these same things. On the good side I have lost a total of 17lbs in 10 days!!!!

What do you recommend that I could try to eat one week post op tomorrow. The broth and popsicles aren't cutting it.

I had mine on the 18th also My doctor said I could start incorporating protein as soon as I felt like I could. I have been having really bad pains in my stomach and chest area every time I drink or eat jello. The only thing that seems to go down okay is sugar free popsicle.

Alexa wow you were able to drink a full liquid protein shake already? I cant seem to get my liquids in at all. Everytime I try to drink something I feel like my stomach is having spasms.

I had my surgery on tues November 18th. I am experiencing stomach spasms. Is this normal?

About 10 hours post op and I feel ok. No pain in the incisions. I do however have some gas pain. And the nurse I have is worthless. Anyway. Ill jus deal with it.

Great job!!! You look good. Skin removal? You dont look like you have excess. My beginning weight is the exact same as yours but I have a large frame. Im so worried about excess skin.

Ok so I have my appointment with my surgeon on Nov 6th. I was told at this time he will explain the procedure and the pre op diet will start. But one thing that kinda concerns me is that his assistant says the hospital where im getting the surgery done does not require and EGD. Has anyone heard of this before. Now im even more nervous. Somebody please help me to understand. When I have been reading everyone else's post, it seems like everyone has had one. HELP!!!!

You look awesome. And I hate to be nosey but you dont look like you have excess skin problems....how did you do it?

I found out today that bcbstx approved my surgery, but now im waiting for the surgery to be scheduled. I am really hoping they make it before the end of the year. I still have to have my egd. So im hoping I will be in Nov. Please pray for me and good luck to all of you!!!
