  1. My doc never mentioned to me when I should have one but I had my first one Monday, surgery was the 10th. I was prescribed liquid Colace to use as needed. I never used it.
  2. I had the same problem post op. It went away. I don't know what it is but I don't have it now.
  3. I just want to use my eliptical or my stepper. I'm hoping my doc days it's fine when I see him Thursday. I think I can do weights at 4 weeks out.
  4. My PCP was all for it but she also stressed changing habbits prior to surgery. At my first appointment with the surgeon one of the first things he said was "none of these surgeries work, they're all crap...." and right before I freaked out he said "unless you put forth the effort" scared the $hit out of me lol! But the best decision I've ever made!
  5. I love those salmon patties!!! I used to buy them an put them on bread. I am on pureed/mushy foods now. I wonder if they are okay for me to eat. I'm getting tired of creamy soups! Lol I'm gonna look for those chicken skewers next week. They have some pretty good chicken meatballs there too. I'm not sure of the nutrition info though.
  6. I tried 4 different kinds of broth pre op and one post op. They all made my want to vomit! I could could eat one meal/day on the preop diet but the day before surgery was all clear liquids. I just had eater and sf popcicles mostly.
  7. 13 days P/o. Today it was premier protein "hot chocolate" breakfast. 1.5 oz liverwurst with horseradish mustard for lunch. I'm having diet s apple now. I will probably have 1/4 cup of lobster bisque (strained) for dinner and another "hot chocolate" before bed to get my 60g of protein in for the day.
  8. @@Jazmundo permanent is right! I laughed with a friend at how I got full off of less than 2oz of food today. But yesterday....whew Lawd!!! I was going through it! And the fact that I didn't even try to get in protein wasn't helping. But lesson learned. I'm figuring this thing out one day at a time.
  9. Worked like a charm for me.....except I had to keep reheating it lol! Takes longer than"normal" to drink it so it kept getting cold. But at least I could get it all down.
  10. My nutritionist recommended it. It's complete so I don't need tonTAKE anything with it. But I'm supposed to take 2 scoops. Idk how to do it because I can't stomach it in anything.
  11. Starting weight (today) 253 Goal weight 233
  12. Is anyone taking this? I haven't figured out how to tolerate them but I can't afford to let it go to waste.
  13. @@dms724 you may have just saved my life! I love hot chocolate! I added a little unsweetened cocoa powder to it and I'm in love!!! I'll get this down in no time and still be able to eat something! THANK YOU!
  14. I figured out that I can only tolerate the premier protein if its plain. No extra anything in it. But for some reason it still takes me forever to drink it.....its only 11 oz! BUT I can drink water or diet snapple much faster....its weird.
  15. Whoever said WLS surgery is the easy way out should be slapped. I'm so frustrated with trying to get used to this. Trying to get in 2 Protein shakes without it taking me 6 hours each! Plus Water or tea or whatever. And forget trying to actually eat something in addition to that....oh and throw in the bucket of chicken my father thought would be an awesome idea for everybody to eat right in front of me lol!! Sorry for the rant.....but I need help! (Not with the chicken part. I thought it was rude of them but I got over it lol)
  16. I make cupcakes (I'm actually thinking about making it a business) but I haven't since I started this because I wouldn't give or sell someone something I haven't tasted. Guess it will be a loooooong time before I do that. But the good thing is I don't rely like sweets lol
  17. I've been moved to purees now!! Having some kind if creamy soup for dinner. But I need to get these 2 shakes down first.
  18. @@Essence46 I didn't have Dr. Ricford. My surgeon was Dr. Vaziri.
  19. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. If I ever had a thigh gap, I was when I was like......10 years old! I am not sure I care to have one. I was born with thick legs/thighs just like my mom and grandma so I'm ok with it. I like my legs/thighs a little thick. I just want them to be toned really nicely.
  21. @@proudgrammy lol! I don't want anyone to die! lol! Thanks for the vote of confidence! I'm going to call my NUT this afternoon and see what she says. But every time I get on the scale it makes this lovely liquid diet taste a lot better!!
  22. That's the same thing I was thinking. I've been trying to get down thus protein drink since about 8:30 and now its backing up in my throat. I'm scared to lay down. I think its really just that nothing has texture and I just need some texture....and a little saltiness lol
  23. Very true!!! So my comment should actually refer to women with curves that didn't come from being fat! Lol!
  24. This question may seem a bit racist but, I'm just wondering....I feel like the BMI charts aren't really geared toward women of color. A "normal" weight for me (32, 5') is 96-127 or something like that. I have hips and a$$ and at 127 I would probably look crazy as hell....at 96, I would look like a bobble head crack head doll! I don't think it considers all that.....am I the only one who thinks about this?
  25. There something on my paperwork that says 2nd and 3rd weeks at home I can do pureed and creamy foods. And add in soft/mushy and "crispy" foods as tolerated. Crispy foods because they will disintegrate when pls ed with liquids and are combined with soft foods. It mentions baked tortillia chips! How happy am I??? But its sad that guac is not a significant source of protein. 1/4 cup is about 1.5g
