  1. I dont know if you have any health problem. But your BMI is low cancel. It's not easy. First week out for me and my Bmi was 34 with some health problems. It's not terrible but first 5 days it was painful. Now I'm still weak and trying to adjust to new drinking feeding. It's a major surgery. Not to take lightly.
  2. I'm 1 week out and have some problem, I don't understand how I'm going to fit 64oz of liquid in my body, when I drink 2 oz my belly feels like I'm 6 months pregnant. So I'm drinking less, probably like 30 oz water. 40 gr protein. If I drink anymore it hurts
  3. Did you try to make your own chicken broth is super easy, you control salt and to me taste way better. It's soo easy, try it!
  4. Tomorrow is a new day.....
  5. Every Dr gives a different food regime don't really understand why?!
  6. One week out also, finally feeling much better. I'm having a protein shake in the morning and made some homemade lentil soup, blend it. Very loose, and goes down fine. Water goes down better. I think I'm healing inside too. Lost 4 lbs
  7. I hope you feel better. I wish I could have cream of wheat. I don't understand why every doctor has a different preop and post op diet! Should all be the same right? I actually made homemade chicken soup and smash a little carrot and eat if I did fine. I'm going to my dr on Thursday and should start purée stage. Will see.
  8. Feel good all day, made some homemade chicken broth and lentil soup, I blend the lentil soup and diluted with water, put 1/4 tsp of olive oil. It taste sooo good. In the afternoon I felt little hot flashes and little headache , I got a protein shake. Just sipping every 15 min. I think I'm getting head hunger! I want bread
  9. I had same problem, so I try 30ml every 15 min. It helped. Also very ice cold water goes down better. I didn't like ice water before lol. I have to return my unjury protein the chicken soup was good before but now I can't stand it!
  10. Un only a 1 week and I have to drink very small, I can only imagine how long is going to take me to eat! How long it take you to eat at 3 months. I'm going back to work on march 30 and I only have 1 hr lunch break I don't want to spent the all hr eating lol.
  11. Thank you all for your response. I'm feeling better today. I stop taking pain med. since yesterday I think they made me drowsy. I have little pain in my incision but I'm going to ensure without pain meds. I hate that drowsy, sleepy feeling. I'm going to look at all the positive things: I AM ALIVE, yes that was my major worry if I didn't make it safe from surgery. I don't have any complications, I have a wonderful husband who has been an amazing help and support. I think I'm already loosing weight. ( my scale is not working) lol All the little uncomfortable things will go away with time and I'll gain so much more!
  12. I'm sorry you had complications. Hopefully you can feel better soon and go home.
  13. This help feel better! I had surgery Monday 3/16 and I'm little miserable! I can't get enough nutrients down. And feeling weak, still gas on me. I walk 15 every 2 hrs. I'm on the regret stage right now. I'm hungry and just want to eat something good! I need some encouraging words, from people who been there and please tell it gets better.
  14. I don't weight myself. I'm only 6 days out. I'm too busy figuring out what to drink and how to take vitamins etc. I decided that I'm not going to weight my self because I don't want to add more stress to this stressful surgery. I really hope it gets better. Because I love food.
  15. I'm 4 days out an site very hard to get a small sip. It's hurts and makes me Burt a lot will this change? Because water is very important. Dr said I should drink 64 Oz a day but now I'm like 10 oz. I try different temperature and time space between sips but it's very uncomfortable. Any suggestions? Would this get better?
  16. It is true that you can carry a card where say WLS and get a children meal? At restaurants ! Off topic. Sorry!
  17. Depends if your dr said OK to introduce food. Me only liquid and protein shake, some dilute yogurt with milk. I didn't try yet. My surgery was march 16 bypass
  18. Same surgery day and I have the same problem. Today I drink 1oz of shake every 15 min, so I actually time my phone. Someone else in a post suggest that. And it works. For water didn't work. Even only 1 sip makes burp and feel very full. I wait 45 min between shake and water, I try camomile tea, warm, try cold water. But it's very uncomfortable.
