I am probably equally nervous as I am excited. I am excited to make a huge change for the better in my life, but I am nervous about still craving food. I am an emotional eater, and eat when I am stressed, bored, sad... you name it! I have started to try and drink a Protein shake for Breakfast every morning. I am definitely nervous for the 2 week pre-op liquid diet. I think it will be very hard, but also necessary.
Hi Amy, I am also having RNY with gallbladder removal on 11/3. Have you spoken to your doctor about the issues you are having? If so, what does he say? This could very possibly be something that you will experience temporarily and it will eventually go away. Let's hope so!
My surgery is November 3rd and I am also having my gallbladder removed as well as having a hiatal hernia repaired. I started this process almost a year ago and I am so happy to finally be in the home stretch. Best of luck to you in your surgery!
I am waiting for insurance approval for my surgery. I was wondering how long it took other people out there to get approved. I have been waiting a month already.
I have type 2 diabetes and I have chosen gastric bypass because it is supposed to be the best WLS for greatly improving or even reversing type 2 diabetes. I would love to hear from post-op diabetics about their experiences with diabetes and gastric bypass surgery.
