  1. I am November 3rd so we are all fairly close together. How are you all feeling about the upcoming surgery? I am excited and nervous at the same time.
  2. I am probably equally nervous as I am excited. I am excited to make a huge change for the better in my life, but I am nervous about still craving food. I am an emotional eater, and eat when I am stressed, bored, sad... you name it! I have started to try and drink a Protein shake for Breakfast every morning. I am definitely nervous for the 2 week pre-op liquid diet. I think it will be very hard, but also necessary.
  3. I live in NY and am having it done at a hospital here in NY. Have you done anything to prepare for surgery yet?
  4. I am scheduled for November 3rd too! I am also very excited about making big changes in my life while a little bit nervous at the same time.
  5. Hi Amy, I am also having RNY with gallbladder removal on 11/3. Have you spoken to your doctor about the issues you are having? If so, what does he say? This could very possibly be something that you will experience temporarily and it will eventually go away. Let's hope so!
  6. My surgery is November 3rd and I am also having my gallbladder removed as well as having a hiatal hernia repaired. I started this process almost a year ago and I am so happy to finally be in the home stretch. Best of luck to you in your surgery!
  7. I was actually just approved yesterday. My surgery date is November 3rd. It took a month, but was worth the wait.
  8. I am waiting for insurance approval for my surgery. I was wondering how long it took other people out there to get approved. I have been waiting a month already.
  9. I have type 2 diabetes and I have chosen gastric bypass because it is supposed to be the best WLS for greatly improving or even reversing type 2 diabetes. I would love to hear from post-op diabetics about their experiences with diabetes and gastric bypass surgery.
