  3. The 26g protein shots are in like a test tube looking thing...they have them at walmart and GNC Its basically like 2 shots of protein so youre not having to drink a whole nasty shake and for me these are actually tolerable. At walmart I have seen them in the pharmacy section and in the work out equipment section. Hope this helps.

  15. Are you drinking enough water? Your body needs water and to have weight loss you have to stay hydrated. That was the hardest thing for me to grasp yet when I drank my water and ate right the weight came off....and yes count your calories too!!!! The first few weeks is about healing a LOT of ppl dont start losing until after their fills....its takes time unfortunately. Good luck!!
  16. Learn something new everyday!! I didnt even know that was there!
  17. AWESOME, hopefully I'll be joining you in onderland...well you'll def get there Youre doing AWESOME!!!!
  18. Well, you def came to the right spot to have questions answered... first off being nervous and scared is completely normal I dont think a single person on this entire forum would tell you that they werent scared and nervous about having the lap band. secondly since you are in the bham area I suggest going to a support group meeting at St. Vincents East (I'll let others on here tell you all about that) The lapband is a journey, its not fast weight loss like gastric bypass...like any surgery there are risks however with the lapband those risks are less than that of the bypass. I know you have dial up but I recommend that you also visit the following website and it can give you all the info on what to expect and how the band works....Official Site: the LAP-BAND® Adjustable Gastric Banding System for weight loss surgery I will tell you there are thousands that have had great success with the lapband including myself. I wouldnt change having the lapband for anything! Congrats on your decision to change your life. We'll be glad to help you as much as we can...everyone on here is great.
  19. Awww...well thanks! You know I have never done a challenge b4 and someone told me about them in the alabama support group area and it really did help me so I just wanted to keep it going...I hope more ppl get in on it bc it def makes a difference...my mom just died laughing when I told her it was named Donut Day Challenge..
  20. Flu hasnt really been bad this season its everything else. I am a nurse practitioner student and we have been seeing a lot of mono..more than the flu!
  21. I think that its the stress that our bodies are going thru. I too rarely get sick and this year alone I have already been sick 3 times. Just make sure you're getting in your protein, drink lots of water, what type of vits are you taking, I take centrum chewable and my doc says take 2 per day, wash your hands good good good! Eat plenty of fruits and veggies and most importantly get plenty of rest...all of this is good for your immune system.
  22. Woot woot finally 1lb down!!
  23. Just 1 more lb to go!!! http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfAYfZkr9NWic_LuT_qA_DA
  24. LOL, yeah I know...so wish me luck
  25. you have to make all the decisions on where to eat because DH is afraid to pick a rest where they serve nothing that wont make you sick. Sorry if Ive reposted some...I only on page 16 of this thread and ITS GREAT!!
