I did the same with a piece of yummy crisp Italian bread that came with my boring broth last night. Gotta do what ya gotta do. 2 more days with clear liquids.

I had my surgery done last Thursday with Dr Wilhelmy. I will comment on all of this after work today. I had an amazing experience and will tell you the price was worth it. More details to follow this afternoon.

hi Jake, well if all is the same you should be arriving today and well I will be leaving this morning. I wanted to let you know these last few days have been wonderful. Dr Wilhelmy and Dr Campos along with all the other doctors are incredible. They explain everything, you can always ask questions, they are super attentive. Seriously I have never had doctors comes see you daily and even just to say goodbye because you're leaving in the morning. Carla and Yolanda are incredible also, you will love them. Everyone is kind and has a fun sense of humor. Now for surgery..... testing took only a few mins the day I got here. Next morning I came in and was in sugery within 30 mins. No waiting no having to be anxious. Honestly it was as though he put me to sleep and I woke up 10 mins later in my room. I have been fortunate not to have any pain, I know everyone is different but the nurses and doctors are right there should you need anything. I truly can't say enough good . I wish you the best.....wish I could be here when you got here. Sending you hugs!!!! Let me know how you are doing.

Thanks.... I feel fantastic! I get released tomorrow. Honestly everyone here is so wonderful I am sad to go. I would say the hardest part was the morning after drinking the dye for the leak test. Otherwise its been a breeze. Nothing at all first day. Yesterday liquids. Today after passing 2nd leak test I got broth. I will recommend walking as much as you can. I truly feel like I fell asleep and woke up 10 minutes later all done. I hope yours goes as mine has.

Well I'm officially sleeved!!!! Everyone here has been wonderful. Very kind and incredibly knowledgeable. Kinda went in or, they gave me something to make me sleepy before anesthesia and well I woke up 4 hours later when they wheeled me back into my room. Those 4 hours for me felt like 10 minutes. Within 1/2 hour I went for my first walk. No water or anything for me for 24 hours but I am not hungry at all. Thats a first ha ha. No pain what so ever, I am sure later on today since its Friday now I might be sore but I will take it. What a journey, I am so glad it has begun. I am excited to hear from everyone who has gone in the last few days and sending best wishes to those of you coming up.

My doc gave me a high protein no carb diet. I did it for first 3 days, wasn't able to eat enough ( I get full normally after a few bits) so asked to do a liwuid protein shake. That worked perfectly. Had surgery yesterday morning. They dont allow anything at all not even water for first 24 hours but it was ok. I wasn't hungry at all. Wish you all the best

What hospital?

I had mine yesterday with Dr. Wilhelmy at Almater hospital. Stayed first night at hotel Lucerna. Feeling great so far Everyone here has been wonderful.

Hello I think our two hospitals are pretty close to each other. Do you fly into San Diego? I fly there Wednesday. I am going to Mexicali bariatric center in Baja California, mexico. I am excited and nervous as well. How long do they keep you in the hospital? Lets definitely keep in touch we will literally be going thru this together. Best wishes to you too and safe travels.

Hi everyone, I have been following along and trying to get a chance to respond. Surgery is Oct 2nd and I have been a bit overwhelmed between getting ready, making sure family will be taken care of and work. So I finally have a minute. I will admit I am now a bit nervous but I know this is going to be a wonderful journey. I am happy to be on this journey with all of you. Its always nice to have people who understand. I started my pre op diet which was protein but have changed to a liquid protein diet as I fill up fast and wasn't getting much food in me anyway. I will be thinking of you all during your surgeries. I leave for Mexico Wednesday morning and surgery is Thursday. I will post when I can. Best wishes and hugs to everyone

Im scheduled at Mexicali bariatric center in Mexico. The flight doesnt scare me. Not even sure whats scaring me. Ha ha omg I am so ready to be fit and skinny!!! I have been my whole life also except for maybe 3 years. My 14 year old daughter is so excited for me but has two stipulations. 1. I cant have a thigh gap (cause even though she is thin she doesnt have one) and 2. I cant be hotter than her. Ha ha love it. Since we are practically twins aside from size and age , pretty sure I will just be "as cute" as her . Lol
