  1. I feel the same way...Nothing has changed. That's how I feel. What I know is that my family and friends notice a difference, the scale is moving down, I am wearing a smaller size and my pre-sleeve clothes swallow me. It's a mental thing. Listen to what people tell you, allow yourself to accept the compliments. I had 38 yrs of self-deprication but I am learning to say Thank You when people say i look good. Its an everyday process. Keep up the good work!

  8. I haven't commented in quite some time, but i enjoy everyone's comments about successess and set backs. I realize that I have the same problems as y'all and i'm not alone. The scale isn't moving to fast but I am to blame for that. I'm eating well but not exercising like I should. Hence the problem! I still have the fear of going to the gym and being judged and/or pitied. On a good note, I went shopping this weekend and went down 2+ sizes. from a very tight 24 to an 18. Yeah! Like so many of y'all, my upper stomach is trying to stick around longer than I want it to! So i say to everyone, continue on! Everyone has been a blessing and comfort, Thank you!

  14. Good monday everyone! I'm 6 weeks post op and I've lost 26.8 lbs. Yeah!!! I just have to say that i've been reading the eggface website WWW. theworldaccordingtoeggface.com and it has some good recipes. Last night I made the shepard's pie. I made it with turkey instead of beef with sweet potato's for the top and it was delish! I'm so tired of sweet stuff (shakes and bars) I needed so real flavor and it did the trick. I highly recommend it. I am such a southern cook I'm having to learn how to make stuff healthier and it has been a challenge, eggface has made it alittle easier. Gotta go, everyone have a blessed day!

  17. So it's fall and my allergies flared up. I can't take the nyquil pills because they are too big so I downed the recommended liquid dose. OMG! It hit me hard! I felt like I had been drinking alcohol for a few hrs. After 15 minutes of a full fledged "buzz" I was out cold. So, my word of advice: use a half dose unless you want to be picked up off the floor. Lol! But the nyquil helped really well.

  23. Hello fellow august sleevers! My surgery date was August 18th and I'm on phase 2 of my diet which consist of soft solids like ground meats, string cheese, fruits and veggies that can be easily smushed and yogurts. My weight loss has slowed down but that was to be expected. I'm not consuming the recommended protein allowance. I just can't drink the protein shakes very fast and the food I eat is minimal. I have incredible gassy spells when I eat or drink anything. so I take pepsid twice a day. Doc assured me that it will resolve over time, I sure hope so! Of all that, the thing I worry about the most is the fact I don't poop. I tell myself that If I don't eat, then I have nothing to poop. On a happy note, I have lost 20 lbs since surgery and my clothes are fitting SO much better! I just started riding my upright bicycle for 30 min and I hope that will increase my weight loss. #1 goal: consume more protein.
