  1. Thinking of all ya'll tomorrow!
  2. I've had the same problem. I'm preop and not on any diet but I think it's appropriate for me to watch my p's and q's anyway. But I have a very hard time sleeping when I haven't eaten in hours etc so I know the preop diet is going to have me wide awake evet night. ...and hungry to boot. Lol but I know it's all going to be worth it. I've been trying sleepy time tea and tension tamer tea...they are decaf and the tension tamer I have noticed is really making me sleep well.
  3. I find I get ancy if company stays too long. .keeping me from reading, researching etc lol...withdrawals lol
  4. Another perfect example of why my surgery is a secret and will stay that way. I despise people knowing my business, uneducated opinions, and uninvited comments or advice.
  5. My opinion, none of their business, I'd keep it to myself...enjoy the journey!
  6. I started my journey about the same time! I have been approved pushed out til at least January. I'm the same way though, is all I can think about. But I haven't told anyone so Noone is getting tired of hearing about it lol. I hope you get approved soon!
  7. Ok great. I did ask him IF I had one would it be repaired. But honestly that was before I even thought that I might actually have one. But yes we will go over that in detail at my appointment. I'm approved but don't really know what else he may have me do before surgery. So do you have the chest discomfort like we were talking about above? Thanks!
  8. I've kinda fallen off the wagon a little this week...but still trying to be good! My scales are giving me like three different readings every morning. So I got discouraged. .picked up some new batteries. .hopefully that will help. I am a daily weigher..that's what works for me!
  9. Ok! I should say that it IS in the same spot all the time and to the left of sternum. .always. By radiating I mean it sometimes stems to my arm slightly which I have read in numerous places that this is a symptom as well. I'm almost positive it is the hernia. Especially now. I will make all this known at my appointment. I guess my main point is that I was always afraid they were overlooking a heart condition...and hoping that if this is the hernia..this "discomfort" as I should have described it, will go away after it's fixed. Thanks!
  10. I have diagnosed myself with a hiatal hernia. I have all the symptoms but the one I'm most interested in is the radiating chest pain. I have had all the tests done to make sure I don't have any heart problems multiple times, and have been having these tests for the last 4 years. But just recently read that the chest pain could be the hernia. I just met with my doctor about it this week (before I read about the chest pain) and i fully intend on talking to my surgeon but my appointment is a month away. Just curious. *****Has anyone who knows they have a hiatal hernia had the associated chest pain? If so can you describe?***** If this is what it is, then this is the long awaited explanation for my chest pain. Thanks.
  11. does the hospital give you sugar free Popsicles? Cuz i will freak out if the give me a regular one full of sugar lol
  12. I've read some ppl on here have to go for the test and if diagnosed they have to wear the machine for a week or so before surgery. That's just hearsay
  13. How precious. I too have a wonderful man like that. Your story reminds me to thank God for him even more often. Bless ya'll!
  14. I know who you're talking about in Texas. It had me scared all thru November. Then this morning an obese, young, acquaintance died in her sleep last night from a heart attack. So now I'm more afraid of dying from being obese than because of surgery.
  15. Hope to be in January as well!
  16. Yep I was approved in September but surgeon for unknown reasons pushed me out til January. .I'm just now getting over the anger so I'm still just counting down the days and trying to be thankful for the approval alone. I should get a surgery date at my appointment the first week of January. If it is out further than January I will seriously blow a gasket!
  17. I'll be joining you in January, Lord willing.
  18. Another reason that in not telling anyone but my fiance.
  19. I'm pre op..I've lost 3 this week and probably another pound in the morning when I weigh
  20. I'm totally of subject but why do you not like him lol?
