I have waited to do this for years, but something always stood in my way, could not get time off from work, elderly parent issues, children issued, someone always depending on me for something. This summer I had a wakeup call. I drew a line in the sand and said to my self. This is my life and I have to do something for me, or I won't be around to enjoy it! I have just started my journey, I am scared, but really excited! I met with Dr. Alex Onopankcho, in south New Jersey and I have all appointments scheduled. Next week I start w/ upper g.i., chest x-ray, blood work, etc. Then I go on to a group session on protein, psychology and a nutritional consult. Meeting w/ my primary care physician, end of the month Sept. 2014). Have already met with cardiologist and he has given me his blessing and will do so in writing. I have Medicare as my primary and NJ BC BS Horizon as my secondary. My question is........after everything is submitted to ins. how long do you have to wait for approval/disapproval? Who is notified, the dr.'s office, the patient or both?
