  1. Happy to hear from you! good job with the 2 laps!
  2. Good luck renewme! Lots of people had suggested walking walking walking. I did about 30-45 mins of walking each day. Let me just say, it helped so much. I'm post op day 7. I'm just now able to drink the recommended fluid intake my dr wants me to be at. It took 7 days, but everyday gets better. The gas pain has been gone for 2 days now and it's so much easier. One thing I had to deal with yesterday was massive heartburn. I think it was because I had juiced a pineapple and some oranges. Too much acidic fruit in my system?! Other than that, I see the light at the end of the tunnel! Hang in there!
  3. Sounds like such a process boppin. Hang in there and keep us posted! Sending you warm vibes!
  4. Good luck to you! Can't wait for updates. Sending a prayer your way.
  5. What amazing support you guys have all been. Just reading this stuff gives me hope. Today is a better day than yesterday, that's for sure! Still not up to par with my liquid intake. But in do time I suppose.
  6. You guys are absolutely right. Tomorrow, day two will be behind me and hopefully so will most of this pain and nausea. We are on the loser side! Hooray!!
  7. It's nice to read about similar issues that people are having. I am just two day post op and I am regretting this whole thing! I'm in so much pain! I just want to curl into a ball and sleep till the pain is gone. it's not really the incisions that are hurting me. It's the severe gas pain all over my back and shoulders. And also I feel like there is so much liquid stuck in my throat. I've only been able to keep down 2 medicine caps full of chicken broth and about 1/2 cup of ice chips, a couple sips of water and now a couple sips of Gatorade and decaf tea. That's it! I have meds for pain and nausea and have been taking them, but they just make me sick to my stomach and I dry heave. Anyone else like this on day 2?
  8. Thanks fabatforty!!! You will have to let me know how you do!
  9. @@Ramuse! How are you feeling?! I've been out of surgery for about 7 hrs and so far everything is good! Just very very sleepy. I had a bit of nausea but they gave me meds for that and now I feel fine. I've also had the after effects of the gas pain. It's all up in my chest right now. no fun. As far as the incision pain.... I have none at all!
  10. Thanks mb511! I'm up and well I wouldn't say quite ready yet... But I'm getting there! My heart feels like it's in my throat at this very minute.
  11. Good luck my buddy ramuse!
  12. Today is the day for me guys! I'll let everyone know how it goes. 9am today can't come fast enough! At this very moment, my heart is in my throat! Ahhhh!!!
  13. Thank you so much for responding MB511. And only 16oz?! Wow that's so little! My doctor told me to target at least 64oz. I'm so worried as to a lot of people after surgery aren't able to really take in very much liquid. So how am I supposed to be getting in all my liquids?! Ah well I guess I will find out tomorrow! How are you with gas? Any pains?
  14. And also congrats to you too mb511! How are you feeling two days out?
  15. So nice to read everyone's comments. I'm freaking out about my sleeve tomorrow! Eeek!!! But from what I've read so far, it's the best decision made by most. Btw congrats Megan! How are you feeling today?
  16. Hey everyone! I'm fairly new to this site as well. I've been looking for new friends to share this experience with as well. My surgery date isn't until 9/11, but I'm still nervous as hell and excited at the same time. How are y'all doin?!
  17. Ramuse! You can do it girl! Keep it up!
  18. Hey all! I'm still feeling pretty nervous about the surgery. My date is 9/11 in Houston. Eeek! It's right around the corner. I'm doin awesome on the pre op diet though.
  19. @ Della good luck tomorrow! Keep us informed on how your doin!
  20. @@JCP that's cool! I'm actually from new Braunfels, but traded in country living for city life. I am actually having surgery at north cypress medical center in cypress. I found a really amazing dr!
  21. yaaaaaay! My surgery is the 11th well! How are you doing? Are you having any trouble? I know I am! Lol good luck and I well be following you! dde04Hey girl! I'm super excited and super nervous at the same time. Yesterday was the first night I couldn't sleep! I am reading a lot of others posts about starting their pre op diet, but my surgeon said not to start till the 4th. And it's not a liquid diet like a lot of others. I wonder why everybody has a different pre op diet to follow. I have to do a protein shake in the morning, 5oz of lean meat grilled broiled baked or boiled. (turkey, fish, chicken) and 1 cup of cooked veggies or two cups raw. Then another protein shake for snack, then dinner is the same as lunch and then my last snack is a sugar free Popsicle. What is yours like?
  22. Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and just wanted to share my surgery date as well... Sept 11th is the day for me. Sooo many emotions running through me.
