  1. I have to wait 48 hours after a fill, to eat. I am on liquids such as water, propel and gatorade first 48 hours after fill? What about any of you? I also have a 10cc band, anyone with a 10cc, how long or howmany fills did you have to get to really feel a restriction???? My doctor will not tell me how much he puts in. I have had 2 so far, some say with a 10cc band it can take up to 4-5 fills to really have restriction.:cry
  2. After each one of my fills, I have to wait 48 hours to eat, I can only have water, propel and gatorade for 48 hours after the fill. What about you all??????:hungry:
  3. Hello Just a Girl, I use to live in Nacogdoches while my husband was in school at SFASU, 95-98. I worked at the blood center there. I have uhc. It paid 90%, it took about 3 months to get all approved, etc. You can do it, hang in there, time will pass and before you know it you will be one healthy active mom.
  4. Dave, Your answers are always great, so I am falling into your hands for advice. I too have have only had 1 fill, I was banded 1010, had 1st fill 11/08. I do not feel full and really have to pull my control together. I have heard that it takes sometimes up to the 4th fill for a nice restriction. I beat my self up feeling as though I have not lost enough at this stage. What is a typical calorie day for you?
  5. What is the name of these shakes, I had seen something similiar in slim fast the mocha, etc. But I was afraid of the carb intake. Where can I get them and what is the name of the shakes?
  6. Psalm20, I could not make it with that, you need to at least add 3-4 Protein shakes, there is EAS and Low carb slimfast/ Try that. Hope it gets easier.
  7. After being banded, can we eat popcorn??? I realize not in your post op foods, I mean in general after banded for life, can we eat popcorn?:whoo:
  8. Paula, I agree with everyone else. When were you banded? How much weight have you lost?? Do you exercise, how much? How many calories a day are you consuming? Do not drink for an hour before and after a meal. Drink lots of water thru the day. How much protein are you getting, my doc and dietician wants me to get at least 50. Hang in there!!!!!!!!
  9. Dolfan. Rest, rest, rest, drink more Water, take your Vitamins and get that Protein in. After another week doing this, see how you are feeling!
  10. Way to go!!!!! Keep it up!!!!
  11. I have had only 1 fill, I fill no restriction until I have eaten way more then I should have. I try to control my cals myself. I know I need to drink more water, eat more protein, any other suggestions?? I was told that sometimes it can take up to the 4th fill to really have restriction.
  12. I begin eating similiar things around day 16 also, I am still nervous that I may have did some damage. How did yours turn out? I go to get my first fill the 8th. Please let me know what your doc said?
  13. Alexandra, What caused your band to slip, did they say???
  14. Hello, I loved your thread, question why would being so tight cause your band to slip or get damaged??? When were you banded, how much weight so far?? Keep up the great work. Beverly 1010
