  1. I'm in Dallas! I get my sleeve on sep 8 Starting my low carb diet and have to do two day of liquids before surgery. Sadly my back went out this weekend and I am a mess.... Where are you in Texas? How are you holding up!
  2. Keep you look great!! It looks classy in front and a Lil sas in back!!
  3. So my back went out this weekend ???????????? This is the third time in the past few years Another reason this surgery is looking better and better Had big plans this weekend but all had to change because of me....so ashamed and tired of being tired. Sep 8 can't come soon enough. Talked with nurse this last week looks like you have to drink some kind of laxative before surgery...not thrilled about that. Starting low carb tomorrow I think the one thing I look forward to the most is not being ashamed to be in a picture with my kids. Also really impressing my husband again What are you guys looking forward to
  4. Yes I am eating all my favorites too. I guess my version of saying so long to food that will no longer be apart of my life. My gsv brother who had surgery in March bought me a fit bit just yesterday. He said it will really help keep me motivated to move....plus he knows I'm extremely competitive and apparently you can link up with others who have it and compete with steps. I have only had it for two days and I really love it. Now my husband even wants one..(tracks your sleep too) I'm pretty much sticking to walking these days it hurts my knees and back to much to do anything else. But look forward to doing more soon Apparently walking is really important after surgery I am staying in hospital 2 nights. I will def give GNC shakes a try. Thanks
  5. Hey guys!! Dallas girl here who also is getting the sleeve on sep 8. Thank you for starting this thread this will be such a great way to root each other on. Nerves are high but my excitement exceeds my fear! My brother got the sleeve in May and has done so well. I have been trying Protein shakes this week and haven't found one I like. Any tips or drinks you all like? Also dr suggested taking Iron anyone know of a good chewable iron...the one my husband bought me is metallic and nasty tasting. The one thing that I know will be a challenge is coming home to 5 kids after surgery Anyone else coming home to kids Also how long is your hospital stay?
  6. My surgery is the 8th as well! Are you prepping in any way Surgeon told me not to fast till 2 days before and eat low carb about 1000 calories a day till fast. Looking now for good Iron pills and multi Vitamin that I can chew. Really would like to keep my hair if at all possible. Haven't even tried Protein shake possibilities. Any luck with those? I have 5 kids Ranging in ages12-2 Some of them start school tomorrow. The part I dread the most is thinking I can't have carbonated drinks and caffiene!! I literally only drink club sodas and coffee. Anything your worried about?
  7. SEPTEMBER 8, is my big day. I can't believe it really....I am so excited, and completely petrified all at the same time! My brother had his sleeve done in March and has lost 159 pounds!! It's all I needed to see to know that this could totally work for me too! I'm new here so would love to connect with other sept surgeries!
