  1. I have not been here in ages. The first pictures were taken in 2007 prior to my surgery. The last one I took about a month ago. I was banded on April 8, 2008. I went from a size 20 (237 pounds) to a size 12 (165 pounds).
  2. Not long at all. As soon as I got all the pre-op requirements done. My surgery was scheduled a week and a half later. It just depends on Dr. Steinberg's schedule and your schedule, of course. Good luck.
  3. It is the best decision I've ever made in my life. I went from a size 22 and am now a size 14w in one year and I am still losing. I would do lapband vs. gastric bypass because you never use your stomach again with gastric bypass. To me it just seems so unnatural.
  4. I had my surgery April 8, 2008. My experience with the lapband and with Dr. Steinberg has been GREAT all around. Good luck with your choice.
  5. My bandiversary was April 8, 2009. Attached is one BEFORE picture taken, January 2008. My AFTER pictures were taken the weekend of April 3, 2009.
  6. Thanks Charlene for the welcome. As I have questions, I will definitely post them.
  7. Hi all, I'm happy to have found this site. I will be visiting often as the entries I have read thus far have been very helpful.
  8. Hey Colorado Chick, Stay encouraged; once you start to feel better you will start to see those number going down again. You have done a great job so far. All the best, Ms. NeNe
  9. L2L, I hope you feel better. NeNe
  10. I had to post one more time. This is a picture of me at my class reunion (I'm in the middle) and the second is a picture of me now (Sept 19, 2008). I didn't realized how much I had gone down until I looked at this picture. I am really inspired.
  11. Turler, Hang in there, you will reach your goal; just keep doing what you've been doing. All the best, NeNe
  12. They do the same at my office; he always does the fill under the fluroscope.
  13. Leslie, At your age, a 10 would be fine. At my age, I'm going to be happy with a 12. Bea, Thanks for the words of encouragement. Let's Get Busy!!!!
  14. Leslie, I know what you mean. It has been a long time since I was 100 something pounds.
