  1. Hey September surgeries, had my surgery on 8/25. All went well. Gas after the surgery into my chest and back was the worst part, but it passed. I too have slight pain on the left side larger incision. Some days I worry if they didn't make my stomach small enough because it seems easier than I expected. Getting in all of the water they require is a bit of a challenge with your new belly, but it's a process. I'm glad to be on this journey and don't regret it a bit. Good luck and prayers to all with upcoming dates! See you on the losers' side.
  2. mine is darlingbecki@me.com
  3. I understand the pizza issue completely. I've got 3 preschoolers and on day 2 my husband got pizza, which I had to cut up. I may have taken a piece or 2 of bacon off of the top and maybe one pineapple bit. I couldn't help it! Congrats to you for not giving in.
  4. I'm so excited to have somebody on the same day. We'll have to keep each other updated on progress.
  5. @@chefkelly This is so encouraging to hear! I'm scheduled for Monday and trying to research all I can. Finding this positive story was much needed. I can't wait to see more of your updates.
  6. @@julez you are on 8/25? I'll be going in around 7:30am, I am second scheduled for the day. And yes, we BOTH got this!!! I'm trying to do last minute research stuff to take to the hospital and any tips I can find. What time are you going in?
  7. Well, I was informed yesterday that my 9/2 surgery was moved up to 8/25 due to a cancellation. I was happy to get this done quicker but I spent yesterday trying to calm down (without eating to cope) about losing a week to mentally prepare. Sure hope my liver is alright for surgery without the extra 8 days fasting. Did I mention that not being able to eat when stressed stresses me? LOL This pre surgery diet is not my friend.
  8. I am feeling a little bit better today. @@jessb418 have you been getting enough Water? I noticed I feel better when I'm hydrated. I am still no where near the amount of shakes I'm supposed to have, but I figure as long as I don't cheat, I'll be fine.
  9. I'll keep you updated about breakthrough and you do the same. Hoping we have a much better day 3!
  10. I'm right there with you. Started yesterday and my head is hurting. Can't get nearly enough of my shakes in. I'm hoping it gets easier after a few days.
  11. This Liquid Protein diet is not easy for me. I have a major headache from caffeine/sugar withdrawal, I think. Not getting all the shakes in because the headache make me feel yucky already. I guess those 'last chance to enjoy' lattes were not my friend. UGH
  12. New to this site, my surgery is scheduled on 9/2. I am on day one of my pre surgery diet. Just received word that insurance approved. I am excited but nervous at the same time. Would appreciate some buddies to support each other along the way.
