Hi I hopefully will have my surgery in October or Nov will find out this Thursday for sure and like you I worry that I will be able to Control my love for food not only do I enjoy it but it is such a social part of life. Hi I am 67 and will see my surgeon this Thursday to see if he will approve my surgery. He doesn't like to do surgery on people over 65. It is nice to see other people who are older having surgery. If all goes well hope to have surgery in October or Nov

I am having my first visit with the Psych tomorrow then another appointment with him the next day and my final appt in Sept I have to have 3 visits with him for my insurance I was told, Sure hope it all goes well, Next week I meet with the Doctor so should know more then. Love this sight

Thank you so much I know but there is still hope I can have it done just not as soon as I wanted my neice has CMT and she had the gastric bypass 3 years ago but because of my other health issues and being older then her they have to be careful again thanks for your reply will keep you posted hopefully with good news

Got all my apointments scheduled today then a phone call saying they had to cancel them because after the nurse talked to the surgeon they decided I need to see a Neuroligist to be tested for CMT before they will start anything it was looking like OCT surgery now everything put on hold till they get the results so there is a chance I might not beable to have it so excited all day now a big let down Just trying to get in to see a neuroligist takes so long so very unhappy right now

Hi I am new too went to my first class now have my first appointment on August 5. I hope it doesn't take 6 months I just want to get it done my BMI is under what it should be but I have a lot of other health issues so my doctor thinks that I might qualify this waiting to find out is the hard part
