  1. Lauren 350.00 for nutritional classes??? That's crazy...hospital center charges you 32.00 per class, I only had to pay for three, if you have DC Medicaid it's a 6 months program once all the paper work is submitted to the insurance company the wait is less than a week or about a week.
  2. My program was three months I started on May 6th and I was approved on Aug 22 I was on my pre op diet for two weeks...
  3. Well I'm doing pretty gooda I was on medical leave for about three weeks day of surgery I was about 228 and now I'm 201. I started with my first appt in May and I was 245 so I'm down overall 44 pounds

  5. I'm from the Washington DC area I work and had my surgery at Medstar Washington Hospital Center
  6. Its Thanksgiving!!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I have not seen a scale since 11/20 so for a week now I have no idea if I've broke my stall....but I last weighed myself on 11/20 and I was 206.4 I think?? My Thanksgiving goal was. 200.0 I will be weighing myself on 12/1 my two month post op! So everyone enjoy your turkey day! And don't overeat!
  7. I still at 7 week's am trying to keep my clean plate membership! As of today I'm measuring everything...I'm tired of slimming and then that nauseating feeling of having my food coming back up its always that one extra bite or that one extra sip...I'm still learning and have to remember my stomach is no longer the size of a football!
  8. Thanks...I'm on full solids that protein bar sounds right up my alley I'll do a search. Thanks
  9. Thanks...I will try them both dash and buffle
  10. Ok I have this Protein powder that I really don't like...I'm really getting accustomed to ready make shakes such as Premier Protein....now I have this 2 pound container that's just sitting there with partially no use. Are there any recipes I can use to get rid of it! I've tried putting it in my vanilla pudding and mixed it in with my oatmeal...any other suggestions?

  12. Altogether total I've lost 39 pounds my initial weight was 245 on date of surgery I was 228....its a slow and steady process
  13. I was just at the library this afternoon looking at the Atkins diet...I too need to get away from carbs and sugar this might be a good idea
  14. I'm a little discouraged too....this week I weighed in at 206.4 but drs office weighed in at 209.4....so I'm going with 206 lol... SW: 228 CW: 206.4 GW: 200.0 Its not looking like I'm going to make goal I too was thinking about going back to liquids. ...time can only tell
  15. So I had my initial 6 weeks post op appt on week 7 and the scale at the doctor office read 209.4.... I'm like hold up, my scale at home said 206.4...so I said don't you deduct 3 pounds because of clothing? the PA just laughed and pat me on the shoulder and said, it's ok....it's just week 7!???? shucks!! I want my 3 pounds lol....it's official I'm getting rid of my scale...I'm possessed
  16. I'm having more insecurities having lost 40 pounds now than before the weight came off...I'm in a kinda in a ltr and I send my partner pics of me hiding my cellulite or my overhang...or even my flap jacks (arms) lol to me it's not his or my ideal of a perfect body, he never said otherwise, I just think there will never be an image of a perfect body but I would really like to get it tight in the right areas. It will take some years to get there but when it comes down to the nitty gritty will he be disgusted???. ...I found that to love your body is to love yourself and be proud of the skin your in, but sometimes it can be a distraction! He says he loves all of me but I still cover up and hide under the covers...this whole transformation will take me some time but I understand your thoughts
  17. Yes....I was thinking about going back to the liquid diet and start over.... Yes I saw on pintrest the low carb pizza and thought I'll try it so I went out and bought the items. I try to buy things to substitute bread I tend to eat tuna with crackers instead of bread...and the Cereal was my son but didn't eat it so i nibbled on them here and there and found myself snacking on them heavy.....I need to get rid of everything and just start from scratch thanks for your input!
  18. Hello everyone...I'm dying for some help...I'm having a carbohydrate fit! I find myself eating dry honey nut cheerios....wontons baked with cheese and turkey pepperoni...wheat crackers...thinking since it's wheat it's fine....I read the label for carbs and sugar contents and it's pretty minimum for my daily carb count and I eat the serving suggestions, but after I eat it I feel extremely guilty, how do I kick this habit...it seems right but feel so wrong... any one have suggestions for substituting these devils in disguise!
  19. Yes I've just tried it and it's very thick....I had to dilute it with some 2% milk and add some vanilla pudding to it....it's an acquired taste...I'm gonna use it for something else because it did not agree with my sleeve..I feel terrible! I'm just gonna continue to use the fat free lactate milk..almond milk gets a ???? from me
  20. Yes I've bought some silk almond milk this morning it's the silk with protein and fiber it has about 5 grams of protein for 90 calories and 25 grams from fat....I will try it and see how I like it!
  21. Now..I've tried fat free milk...1%, 2%, lactate whole milk, lactate fat free milk which one is better for whey Protein..I currently am using 2% but I've read somewhere using whey protein with 2% milk is used for gaining weight...do I need to try almond (yuck) or soy milk (tuck yuck)?
  22. Thanks for the tip...I just purchase a 32oz water bottle my goal is too drink. This all day with my 2 protein shakes that's at least a start...I'm ready to get back in gear!
  23. This thread gives me hope I'm also 6 weeks post op and for the past 2 weeks had been up and down at 210...209..208....I need to leave the scale alone.... I was thinking about going back to the liquid diet for a week just to jump start my weight loss again....I'm only getting about may be 500 calories in per day and cannot for the life of me get in 64oz of Water a day, I'm lucky to get in 24oz...and let's not get started on my Protein I have been slacking ill admit....so I just need to get back on track! Good luck to all!
