I would like someone just to tell me exactly what we are suppose to have as far as Vitamins and food after leaving the hospital please. To much I use this and then someone says I use this. I am a type of person that needs some one to just tell me exactly what I need and I will go get it now variations. Just treat me like I am your kids and sending them to got grocerys for you or hubby lol.. Please help me any at all would be appreaciated . TY

I am not for sure I want to go home the next day after surgery. How do you get to stay another night? I think I would feel better if I did.

I am at my preop appt now. I am so ready to start this journey. My surgery is next Wednesday so excited!!

Sent mine to insurance on the 1st and called them on the 3rd just to make sure they had received it and they had. This is the second time to be sent in the first time it was denied because they said I did not have the 6 months in for pcp visits and that was the only reason. However, I am afraid they will find another reason since I have met all my deductibles this year. Has anyone ever been denied the second time with insurance? Any reply would de appreciated so worried about this!!!!

I have my post op visit on the 15th and surgery on the 21st but no one has said anything about a preop liquid diet. Is this something that some doctors recommend before surgery. And what all happens on your preop visit? Any help would be appreciated...

My surgery is January 21st also. I am going through periods of I am so ready to scared of complications. I have my preop on the 15th. I have not been put on any kind of liquid diet yet unless he does on the 15th. I am so glad we have people we can talk to that understand what we arr feeling. Prayers for everyone!!!!

Need a little help please. I finally got approved for surgery yesterday I am so excited but I need a little advice from everyone. I work in a accounting cpa office and they do not allow any vacation days to be taken from Jan thru April 15th and I tried to have this surgery before then but I could not get approval. Now my husbands company is getting bought out and his insurance will change probably by the end of January so if I do not have this surgery as quick as possible I will not be able to have it because I do not know if his new insurance will cover bariatric surgery. So any help with how to talk to my employer will be appreciated. We are a small firm with about 4 employees besides my boss. I know everyone says this is a elective surgery which I do not agree with this is my health even my husband says its elective and I disagree with him. I just need a little advice from other people that understand. Please do not just read I really need some advice.

Got my approval in the main today. I am so ready to start my new life!! Should my doctor already have this approval? On the paper it says it was approved on the 19th but I have not heard anything from my doctors office yet.

Any comments to ease the fear part now would be appreciated I was doing good till I actually got the date. And what to expect on my preop visit.

I had to submit twice to insurance too but the first time I submitted I did not have the required 6 months with my pcp. I resubmitted and got approval in a little over 2 weeks. I do have other health issues also.

I go for my preop on the 15th of Jan. I don't think I have to do a liquid diet except for the day before. Good luck

Thanks everyone for the comments they are so appreciated. I do not have a specific surgery date yet but I know it is going to be in January. When I go to work in the morning I am going to talk to my boss. I am just going to let her know if I could wait on this surgery till after April I would but since my husbands company is getting bought out I do not have any choice but to have it as soon as possible. Surely she will understand and I will not lose my job. FMLA is not a option since we are a small company. Prayers for me in the morning are appreciated.
