  2. It's gastric bypass that I will be having. Thanks, it sounds promising that I might make it to my weekend job. I know I'll be tired though.
  3. I work a full time job during the week and I have a part time job on the weekends. I'm having surgery on a Tuesday, do you think I can make it to my weekend job on Saturday? It's a desk job and I have no leave. Thanks.
  4. It depends on your coverage and dr. I just saw my surgeon and am scheduled for surgery June 9. Good luck!

  8. I have Kaiser in Oregon. It's taken me 4 months and I'm ready to meet the surgeon. Good luck!
  9. Kaiser puts out a magazine of classes they offer so when you go, ask for it.
  10. If I were you if sign up to attend the bariatric support group that meets monthly.
  11. Yeah but then I have to see the nurse and nutritionist a few times, then meet the surgeon, do blood work, then pick a date.
  12. Yep though they give the disclaimer that they can unapproved you if they feel necessary but I'm not worried. Also with the Kaiser by me there is no set amount I have to lose and no psych eval.
  13. PEBB changed the rules. I got denied last year but was approved this year so I bet u will be fine. I'm not diabetic or anything.
  14. What do you mean by stats? Like height and stuff? I'm 5'7 and I weigh 269.
  15. Me too, I was told by Kaiser that the average is 8 months but I think that I will be done in 4.

  17. Ok I'm in Salem OR. From what I've seen on here your area is good. People get their surgeries pretty quick. Good luck!
  18. All I did was ask my doctor to refer me and she did and I was approved right away. What takes so long are the classes etc. good luck! Kaiser has some of the best surgeons!
