I had my EGD on the 2nd also. Not sure when I'll get to start my diet. But felt the same going through mine. Good luck and it is so awesome the support your getting from your family.

Did you check to make sure you have to do the 6 months. I have BCBS of MI and I did not have to do that. I dont know if Highmark is different. I called BCBS and asked for the criteria of geting weightLoss surgery it took about 5 days to come in the mail. Call yours and make sure what it is. Unless your doctor requires 6 months. I dont know, I am just thinking out loud lol

I dont have a surgery date either. So I feel you. Also I have only completed one requirement but I do have the ball rolling.

I am right there with you, well except for the knees, only one hernia surgery. My appendix exploded and I developed sepsis, after all that cleared up they did the removal of what was left. You are STRONG and we are here to help you so you will not fail. When questioning yourself look us up I will add you as a friend and reassure you the YOU CAN do this.

Oh man!!! Today I did my blood work, went to the lab they "only" took 10 vials because a couple of weeks ago my PCP did a couple of tests already. I had to go back for my H Pylorus test. It is a good thing too, the first tech mislabeled all my vials so I had to fill 10 more. Holy Moly!!!!! What a day.

Well I literally just started my process on Mon. Had my first consult and received my list of "things to do ". I am required to do some blood work the H pylorus test, endoscopy, nutritionist, physc eval. The doc wants me to journal all my food and exercise 5 times a week 20 min each time .

I think that is good for you to know that complications are out there but dont focus and make that your main concern. Research your surgeon and there team, and let the know how you are feeling and how your can handle it better.

So did you have a lot of pain from the gas?

Ok newbies, I friended all of yall. I had my 1st appt today and the fat ball is rolling. Made my lab appts for tomorrow and waiting on the NUT to call and set up my appt. Woo hoo. I have also sent an email to the Psychologist requesting an eval appt. I am really glad that I dont have to do a sleep study. I hate those. I am so glad that this forum is here and we can support each other during this time.

HI Jezika, I have my first appt tomorrow to get things rolling. So tomorrow I will see what I need to do and what appts I need to make. I hope it doesnt take too long. I am hoping for good things tomorrow. I am nervous.

Ok How many of you REALLY did the things to put on extra weight? And dont they notice? I go in tomorrow for my 1st appointment, my BMI is under 40. Now I am totally freaking out. So frustrated about what to do.
