  1. Wow. Have you been tired and fatigued during the day? Shouldn't push back surgery. They'll just send you for your machine and mask fitting. Should get a lot better after surgery
  2. It does feel like forever....or just 2 months and 2 days and 9 hours. But who's counting. Lol
  3. Yes that's a tough one. For me it's about drinking water to begin with. I am addicted to diet soda. Breaking that habit now. October will be here before we know it!!!

  5. Thinking of you today SMartin723. Sending prayers your way for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!!!
  6. Make sure you are standing up for yourself. Be your own advocate. Sometimes you have to be the squeaky wheel. I work in healthcare and see this all the time. Sometimes you have to be a little feisty to be heard. After my back surgery I kept telling doc and hospital staff that I couldn't use my right leg. They blew me off repeatedly. Told me it was prob just swelling. But I knew in my gut something was wrong. Finally after 5 days in ICU, I had a hissy. Doc said "fine, we'll get a scan". 20 minutes later I was being whisked off to surgery. Huge blood clot and the bones were already coming out of the hardware. I was in surgery 7 hours. If I hadn't had a hissy, they were gonna send me home...who knows what would've happened.....good luck. My thoughts are with you.
  7. Anyone out there from WV or Southeast Ohio????

  14. Capegin, another difference between all the other times you've tried and this time- this time you have all of us. All of us are on the same path as you...we're all here rooting for you. We're all here to help you Your fears are to be expected. I'd be a little concerned if you weren't experiencing them. This is a big decision. Having these emotions mean you are taking this seriously. Think back to other big decisions you've made in life. did you have similar fears? When you got married, had children, decided to go to college, graduated from college, landed that first big job, changing jobs, etc.... Life is full of decisions that are full of risk. But I'm pretty sure that before going to all those doc and nutrition appointments, convincing your husband and family, and insurance company that this is the right thing to do- you did your research. Go back through that information you collected while doing your research. Take the emotions out of the decision and just think with your noggin. Most importantly remember, this time you have all of us. Thousands of people right here. And we all care. Truly we do. And we're going to be here every step of the way because we get it. We get what it's like to walk in your shoes. We're gonna be there for the ups AND the downs. All you have to do is reach out.....good luck honey.
